I like to test the soil in the drain holes at the bottom. sometimes the pot feels light but I test the soil at the bottom and it's still damp. I let it go one more day and water. I haven't had a single problem with this method.

Here are updated pictures. Seem to be having a little more light green patches and brown tips but nothing too widespread or covering a whole leaf. I am currently trying to water it a lot less often per Jonus' suggestion. I last watered it on the 24th and was going to wait until sunday or monday to water it again. When I do I am planning on giving it 1-1.5L with 2 drops of PH down. Ill try just more water less often from now on because Jonus was probably right in that my roots were always wet. She is still growing though so thats good. I'll be starting to flower in a week. She is currently 4 weeks old.

5 gallon pot I am watering then with a little less than 1 liter of water every 2-3 days when top few inches is dry. Using tap water left out a few days. Here are more pics back when my baby was healthy and lush. Thank you.
this plant looks a bit overwatered . let it dry out and see if it gets better.

Its not so much working out the right days between watering/feeding, its letting the plants determine that and they will eventually shift into a pattern. By only watering when pots a light this allows plants to get into a rythm. So in that I mean, you do not need to wait longer if the pot is light already, let the light pot determine the watering time.

As for the 1.5l, it is more important that when you water, you thoroughly soak the pot and water comes out the bottom - you can remove any excess water in pot footers rather than let plants sit in the runoff. In watering using this method you allow even moisture throughout the grow medium, this allows roots to fill out the entire pot, not just head to the bottom as it looks like they might be doing.

Roots congregating around the bottom can easily lead to root bound plants, but also, the majority of the plants roots sitting in the soggiest part of the pot.

Thorough watering does away with this by allowing even distribution of roots. The outward sign roots are evenly distributing is the apparence of the fan leaves. They will spread out, stretching outward past the edge of your pots.

It is then that the plants are ready to switch to flower.

I'll be starting to flower in a week. She is currently 4 weeks old.
4 weeks from seed is too young to switch in my personal opinion. Assuming this is a seedling and not a clone, seedlings take 6-10 weeks before all the adult parts are properly formed which then they are ready to switch to flower. You can still switch to flower at 4 weeks but you risk incurring more complications because you are essentially switching an adolescent plant into a very adult pursuit.

Also your plants need time to recover from the shock of over watering, this may take a week or two. If I were you I would wait until the majority of the fan leaves have extended out and are just over the edge of the pots. This means that at least the roots are ready for flowering. That would be the earliest I would switch a seedling. The best time is to wait until the female hairs show which can be between 6-10 weeks.

Clones of course, are cuttings from already adult plants and can be switched at 3-4 weeks of vegging because all their adult structures are in place. With clones then its just a matter of waiting for a solid rooting system to develop.

Thanks, I may give it a little longer ill see how she does.

Right now though I have a new problem.

I went to look this morning and there was A TON more light green spots all over the lower leaves. Lots of pics below. Someone please help me with what these light green patches mean on my plant.

I am not sure how you can't see it. Most of the lower leaves in the picture have parts that are the same dark green as the top part but they have light green patches all over them. Click on the pictures to enlarge them I don't see how to miss it unless you think that's light reflecting off the leaves. There isn't any flash on it any discoloration is 100% on the plant and not light related.

Deficiencies caused by stressing out roots take a while to correct themselves. This is why I am suggesting you give it a few more weeks before switching to flower. It will take that much time to not only turn the roots around from stressing out to uptaking normally, but also give the plant ample time for the hormones in the plant to settle down again and think about vegging. At the same time, you are allowing your seedling baby to grow up to be an adult, which is what it needs to do before turning it to flower.

Dont stress mate - i am a noob too any when my first seedling sprout didnt grow and i started posting threads on here asking people why this, why that, how long for such and such and all i did was worry - the seedling died and it turned out it was either my crap soil, bad seed, wrong environment or incorrect ph (perhaps?) the point is these first grows are essentially a steep learning curve for us newbies and all we can do is try and provide the best environment possible for our babies and hope for the best - i think the best advice i have received so far is dont try and solve every little problem as soon as it arises because you will more than likely just be creating more problems for the plant.
Since my early mistakes i have had good and bad results (check out my grow) and i have to say that my BB looked just like yours did at that age (except for the green patches in the latest pics) and has gone on to be a lovely 11 week old plant that has been flowering for 2 weeks now.
The longer veg time is probably a good idea too although there is a fella on here called grow4joe who vegged for 23 days under 400w hps and then flowered for 11 weeks and has just yielded 4.6oz!!

Take all advice with a pinch of salt (especially mine!) and dont expect too much from your first grow - i havent and as a result have been pleasantly surprised, good luck mate.

EA.

Thanks I tried this today. I just gave it a full 1 liter watering until there was runoff and before I did I weighed the pot and it was 9.8 pounds. When it gets back to that weight ill try watering it again.
