its been a minute, my comp isnt workin so i cant upload flix. i havent harvested yet, about oneweek left. i got a huge hood, its a magnum xxxl 8" air cooled. i have it ghetto rigged right now tho, from the a/c vent, goin into the light, then gettin pushed out the open window, all with ducting. the temps are still about 90.

i just bought some morningstar. shits wicked. its the most frosted bud i have ever seen, completely covered with crystals.

all the plants are lookin pretty dank. u know the spider mites were lovin this heat, so that sucks. im sprayin some shit around in there now and its helpin

thanks hashlover! that stuff looks rad! i literally sprayed every infested plant today individually with this safer organic pesticide, and im gonna keep up on it and do it like every 5-7 days for like 3 applications. i have some fogger stuff but no chance to use them since im runnin perpetual and always have plants in late flower.

and yeah, the mother plant is looking absolutely gorgeous right now, the buds are getting pretty big! also gettin frosty, i'm pretty impressed with the cfls.

I hear the Safer brand stuff is good too. Now here is a thought, last fall I had a couple Coleus plants in the room that my closet is in. They became loaded with mites (had a couple basil too) but they never got to my babies. I wonder if they would be more attracted to those than the weed?? Get one or two and put them in with the girls. They are cheap enough. And see what happens. And or keep a couple out side the plant area. I sprayed the hell out of them with a house plant pesticide and never did find any on the girls. I still have one near the door to the closet but have not seen any mites. But it was winter so I didn't really expect to see any more till spring at least. It's warming up now so I'll be watching. That would be sweet if they did like them better and you could kill them there. Or find another plant maybe that they would prefer. Hmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

yeah hashlover the Safer is good I use it as a pre empting barrier..just spray the bejeebus out of the grow room ceiling to floor then around it and all the containers. A clean room is a happy room ;)

It's good but they will get used to it. You need to rotate with like 3 different types. I know you have read up on it but read the link I posted, Some good info I have not seen before. They can get used to anything you spray them with after a while. I'm going to get a couple of those small rose plants and take some cuttings from my Coleus and make some more. I figure there IS something they won't get used to, and that my friend is FIRE!!! What I'll do is when they get on a coleus I will take them outside with a can of hair spray or starting fluid and give them a shot with the flame thrower!!!!!!!! "DIE MOTHER FUCKER DIE, FRY YOU LITTLE BITCHES" I'll be saying.. Of course I'll do this BEFORE I get high!!! And never when you have been drinking!!!! As much as it will seem like a good idea at the time, don't do it. So who's with me here??

And you could not be more right, a clean room is always best.

damn im feelin ya hashlover!! that article is a great read man i learned a lot! i saw a thread on here that putting a piece of melon on a toothpick in the soil of each plant will attract the mites to the mellon. u may wanna do some experimenting. the rose is a great idea too i wanna try that. maybe after the third safers application i'll get a couple roses and see how many mites are still around

Here's what you do man, buy a couple small roses and tell your girl you bought them for her. And just keep them near your plants. Giddy Gig, another win, win situation dude!!!!

Oh ya, and I've been trying to get rid of the fungus gnats myself. I don't have them real bad but I guess it takes time with the life cycle they have. I've been using some Gognats, which has a lot of cedar oil in it. It helps but I am waiting for some Gnatrol that I ordered. That is supposed to kill the larve. Both are all natural and I try to do that if I can. I once sprayed a young clone with Sevin liquid if you know what that is. Did'nt rince and burned the shit out of it. I don't use it any more execpt for outside plants (not weed though), it kills the shit out of bugs. You can watch them drop as your spraying. A little more of that "DIE MOTHER FUCKER DIE" shit going on too.

hells yeah man great idea! do fungus gnats hurt the plants in any way? or are they just annoying?

anyways, so the first batch is goin on week 9 now and im gonna give them one more week i think. the second batch is now on week 7 and i gave them a feeding of half strength GRAVITY. oh shit i forgot to raise the light tho. thats the shittiest part about gravity. im sure the gravity clones are gonna produce fatter colas than the overdrive clones.

let pots dry out real good before watering, water with slightly high PH on purpose, and let dry out real good again... plant won't like it, but would be fine.... you could use fungicides if you wanted to... but they die and leave when the soil dries up....

But I'm all in hydro now except for my mother. I'm not a dirtbagger anymore. I want bigger, better, faster buds man!!! My first hydro harvest should be done in a few weeks. They are sativa (free ones I got with my order) so they are dragging on. The soil ones took forever. And these are clones of one of those. The good news though a friend of mine that I gave some to said another guy said he thought it might be white widow or some kind of cross. Doesn't take much to get you baked!! Can't wait to try the hydro, they are quite a bit frostier than the soil plant. And about 3-3 1/2 feet tall!! Two of them.

Definitely good advice though. I do that with my mother. Plus I try to slow down her growth too.
