Before I start trying to catch up I thought Id get an update here,

I got my x3 Fluval Pumps in, they are great so far. Did a "bubble off" between one of my Tetra 100's and it kept right up, I would not say better- definitely tied, but the Fluval are sigificantly quieter.. and the lets you adjust it as low as a soft current out of an airstone... pretty nice in case you ever found yourself needing it.

GEDC0268.jpg

I STILL have not gotten my 730nm emitters from eBay I ordered, the final delivery is the 30th, so after that I wanna know where my shit is at, I ordered them probably 4+weeks ago. O well, the 3x3' is starting to look like a flower tent, they just had a recent res change here Saturday, and I am going to need to top off with nutes tomorrow, gonna let the res get a little low tonight. But go ahead and look at that range

GEDC0272.jpg GEDC0271.jpg

Finally got THAT under control, I may add another heater to get it up a few more, multiple heaters is kindve a PITA, but cosidering all the other options- these dont have to be automated, no bs to worry about so far..

I have fought calcium deficiencies after moving, and I think I have finally figured out how I like to keep the relationship between Botanicare's CalMag+ and the DynaGro's Series in my system, cut the tap in 12/12, replace it with bot. and youre straight. DG has enough Cal/Mag for most water sources in veg, even my RO.. and a little extra chelation goes a long way when using a supp's like CalMag+

GEDC0273.jpg GEDC0275.jpg GEDC0276.jpg

GEDC0278.jpg GEDC0277.jpg

Now, this is all before I touch anything... such harmony.... such tranquility...

Well... they ain't perty... but they are filling the ~3x3' pretty well, I may have to do one more defoliation to make sure some of those buds left behind dont get stagnant.. I have fucked up a couple times the past couple training's, I just snapped a top a couple nights ago... SO. Ill feel that one in the long run, but the lateral branches have taken off to compenate so we'll see what happens, these picutres were taken AFTER they had bounced back from another training. I try to keep em under 3" above the screen then tuck up, or back them up so a Node is placed at the string. Definitely a lot of "tricks" to scrogging. I have not decided how tall im going to let them go.

Im spacey as shit right now, I had thought of several things I wanted to mention outside... but I had to go and fuck myself yesterday, ladies telling me to get stitches (piss on that) so the reliever is making me a bit groggy. heh. I took half of the damn thing and im about to drop.

Take care everyone, be SAFE, and fucking stay WARM!!

It's like your knitting a sweater Scotch ^^^......my lazy-ass was never a scrog fan, BUT you can get some awesome yields with the extra effort.

My grow room hasn't even touched 70f in ten days according to the meter.......fuck is right...........winter grows around here used to be set/forget.

Filling out that Scrog quite nicely. Can't wait to see how the 200 flowers solo. Might make me question whether I have too much light going on.

Wasn't sure if that was to Scotch or me. I just grabbed 2 trainwreck and 2 sour strawberry. I'll get a new thread up tonight or tomorrow.

But I'm also interested to know what the homie scotch has in plan for next round, if he's given it any thought. Actually I don't even remember what stain this is now (too lazy to check)

Field of Dreams, my friend, field o' dreams!

I love my scrog, but definitely within certain Standards I kind of set for my environments/style, I want to stay comfortable, organized, and keep it economical... (some big Incentive's to give Organics a run eh? besides that organized thing...) I dont enjoy feeling like I am trying to keep up, and I have learned what keeps me scrogging away. A wide garden is easier to work with than a deep garden, me personally, I dont think ill ever have a screen that is past 18" deep, lets me sit on me little craftsman seat haha. Luckily in the 3x3' I can pull my totes forward 12+" to work on the back, even then it's not my description of "comfortable.." I cant tell you how many times I have busted my head on the AT200... that fucking panel is a rock, and these people dont know how hard it is to just rep the fuck out of AT, I LOVE that panel.. I was about to give em a shout till grene said something about more coming up, but how long, and what are they up to damnit!?

Were running to stock up at SAMs tomorrow, its gonna be a clusterf*ck... be safe friend.

Hey puff, thanks for posting that GH link to the SS880, 440, etc. Good to see CLW still has a heartbeat.. ha! The scrog is coming along great- I am done training, hoping for things to fill out from here, though the weight did not come till week 6 in the last run.

I would not worry TOO much about your setup man... (still using only 325-330w for a 3x3) shit filled out great, dont even get me started on the GG... but seriously, the edge coverage I am trying to maintain is hit or miss- 250umol. At least that will be some sort of a footnote... I want to say the center coverage comes around ~500 with that 250, I will double check at lights on.

Back, just froze my ass for yah p, better throw that pcc so I can win! Didnt even check the kids... jk, of course I did a little tuck'n'fold, but I really hope this helps..

And I guess it compensates for not spamming AT everywhere, best thing I can do is show them off the best I can. btw this is Super Lemon Haze @ 3 weeks, set back and enjoy my man.bongsmilie

Filling out that Scrog quite nicely. Can't wait to see how the 200 flowers solo. Might make me question whether I have too much light going on.

Gonna try and keep similar pics together, for easy scrolling/camparisons, I do level my panels both directions, and straighten things out. I did give myself a "plot" to stand at for consistent pics, but nothing is perfect. (Ie. the filter @ 36")

18.jpg246.jpg284.jpg36.jpg

18, 24, 28, and 36"
, I will keep this order, 28" is my place to be, then starting next week (week 4) I will keep it at 24", till finish.

181.jpg247.jpg285.jpg362.jpg

The center readings, I threw it down to 12" from a top

Anyways..

Center reading @36" was 360-370umol, I was startin to get cold you can probably watch the temperature creep back down in the pics ha!

Any thoughts on your next genetic line up?
Fli, wheres a journal at!? If youre doing the PCC you might as well show off your DIY plasma too....

Well, I think that's it... sucks its gonna be at the bottom of the page, but I do hope this helps the few out there, and maybe even instigate some inquiries!

stay WARM!

That means a lot brother dawg, I am gonna try and keep these ladies down low this run and see what the differences are in "the nuggetral structure."

On a serious note, I need to take a minute and email the vendor from ebay about my 730nm Emitters... cheap as shit, but I want my product!!

Brother dawg I am very excited to see you x4 SGS' rocking a 4x4', I think that is one of the two true 1000w comparisons... with of course, our AT600, llllllets get readyyyy to rummmmbleee~! ....no, but I am very excited. Have you had much time to toy with the new XGS yet? I am still stuck in the WR Era, friend. haha Speaking of which.. think these are the new cases?

Thank you Fly! I try to throw in some links every now and again, though I do admit, Im hardly halfway through that ROLS thread. but feeling pretty good about it! Just need a couple more meals and some rockdust and I am cooking! Though I am thinking i AM going to remove the roots after each run, and salvage what material(s) I can though.

Here's a quick update, these shots were actually taken a day BEFORE the PPFD Readings in the post above, but they do include some skirt shots for dawg!

Hell Fly you mustve edited and threw up the pics as I was typing, just look at those stems in the second shot, true scrogging right there!

remember what I said about being done training? Yea... just came back up from ~30 minute session, res changes tomorrow!

Fly- I dont have too many local sources for amendments, besides the hydroponic store. (got my perlite, mix, bone meal, and trays there..) but surely they are not the cheapest option? I updated that "Convert's" thread with more newb questions, I still need to order fabric pots too (thanks psu for not laughing in my face...haha) and figure out the best base fert.

I counted up the left side and were looking at 70 some tops :leaf::lol:

Hehehe my bad, i usually add/edit to most post i do thru out the site lol.

next best place is to source online, keep in mind that in rols we dont need much amendments. I suggest you look into the lime mix. Really in my opinon, u will need your top 4, perlite/pumice(aeration, i prefer pumice), wormcasting/compst(i prefer both), peat/coco(inprefer peat but use both) and last but not least, you will need a good lime mix. This would consist of egg shell, oystershell, and,,, shit mind is blank....(u see this is why i always come back and edit!!!!!) heheheheh

Im glad your on the journey to organics, i promise you wont regret it, we just need to get by this first month of putting it toghther and leting it cook.

Look into dr earths products online, look for the cheapest hydro online store you can.

About to go to the organic thread, will be back to edit!!!!!

Edit, yea these plants are huge, they are typical lanky ass ogs, everyday i have to do some sort of training, but it pays iff at the end. If ogs arnt trained properly, the weight will eventually make the plant look droopy during flowering.

DAWG! My man! thank you, really cool J decided to implement that lower setting (keep up with comp. [bonsaihero]), hopefully that adjustment was in preparation for the new '14-15 (whatever ha...) models. Heard that it will be XPG2's and XPE2's a while back..? More White+Red? Or has there been more efficient cree's released since then? (Psu's dream panel hahhaa..., forget what cree- the xml's?)

its hard to wrap my head around not amending a whole lot- just reassure me that we ARE getting all are nutes from the Comp/ewc hahah... its gonna be a rough transition..

I posted a q/a about the Lime I have on hand, but think I am going to order oyster shells to get me through until I have collected enough eggshells to cook/ground. Fly I cant thank you enough for your input on this Organic stuff, probably wouldnt be doing it if you hadn't convinced me and you are making it a MUCH easier transition than I suspected, helps things add up after reading to talk out loud about em. Definitely a great group of individuals around here.

I am already cooking a mix of Potting mix, Acient Forest, EWC, Perlite, and Bone Meal so far... ha. May be toxic for all I know but you know.. depending on how far out it is from the time I plan to use it, I wiill amend with the rock dust and oystershells when I get em? What do you think of Kelp meals? I haven't searched Dr earch yet but will do! I did saturate that mix with the heisenburg tea (with ZHO innoculant), Is that okay? Thought maybe multiplying em beforehand could only help, right?! :-P

Kelp meal is great. Nitrogen, potassium, iron, zinc, calcium, magnanese, sulfur, amino acids, great nutrient accumulator, and food for fungi. I topdress 1/2 cup on each 7 gal at the beginning of flower. Use it in compost teas. In veg topdress same amount per same amount of soil. For veg also use in nutrient tea's of kelp and alfalfa meal. I also brew a kelp tea. Just aerating it for a few days. Then strain 4 times. Use kelp water on a foliar. Save strained kelp, dry. Puree and use in teas. I save the used kelp til I run out of other kelp meal. I also add used kelp to my worm bin. Any brand is good. Usually at nurseries or farm supplies kelp is cheaper. I've used all different brands of kelp meal. They're all the same. Dr. Earth adds all kinds of mycos to their mix. Keep it simple organics has good prices.

add some neem meal too. Full of more nutes than kelp plus azadirachtin (if I spelled that right). Topdressing just 1-2 tbsp. If cooking in soil 1/2 cup per cu ft. Same amount for kelp meal in soil mix.

if you have any organic or rols questions ask or pm me, foreverflyhi, or Green Santa .

Thats the bomb digity, thank you hyroot. Its cool running through these threads and seeing you pop up with such useful informations, years later haha. High level of respect goes to the Vet's in the Organics section. Thank you for the insight on the Kelp, I have read of the benefits before.. I love my nitrozime so far for cell division. Really crazy to watch... but I didnt know if this would be okay to include in soil, and how- JUST foliar with ful-power/silica (i am ordering agsil's 16h, I want as few of bottles in organics as possible (including the ful power), I want to differentiate my soil and dwc as best I can. My hydro tastes great, but I want to see what all the hype is about and see for myself. Of course it will take dialing it in, but there's only one way to find out ;-) it is good to here the dry powders are just as safe to use, probably my best option.

Anyways, Yea! I have read and read about all the benefits of kelp and alfalfa in specific and was expecting that to be on "the list," Down to Earth was really appealing to me because I could buy every meal from them that I need (consistent...probably doesn't matter, at all. OCD) They even have a Beitenite (spelling?) meal that is like 0-0-22????? Organic PK booster? lol They have just an insane amount of amendments.. cool.

Big things i am looking at are Kelp, bone (need?), alfalfa, eggshells/oystershells, thought Banana Peel tea for flower, the glacial and azomite dust (maybe 3:1 for my total dust mix?) Also read how beneficial dandelions are a few times... thinking ill be doing a LOT of tea's, but I want to keep it to as much plain watering as possible, that'd be nice.. ha. I do need to get an aloe powder too from how it sounds.

I still need to get down on that SST read too!

^^^^^Pk boosters are pointless and don't do anything. Just marketing hype. That's way too much potassium. You have plenty of K from kelp, green sand, coco, rock dust, neem meal, alfalfa meal and dandelions. Aloe is great too. Nutrient accumulators work better than any pk booster. aloe, dandelions, and green sand have plenty of silica. I don't use any bottled nutes. Not even full power or bio ag

On page 1 of my new thread. I have the seed sprout enzyme tea recipe in grave detail.

^^ that's where I want to be, no bottles.

I have came across greensand how much are you/would you amend? not a booster fan, and It seems like the microbe food web is your organic version of chelation? Am I on the right train of thought here, because organically I'll only use fulvic in my foliar, if that if someone can suggest an alternative?

thats the thread I was talkin about buddy ;-) I know there is one in the organic thread, but I started to read yours and was hooked, but the boy sidetracked me and have been busy since then. I always try to advertise my fellow growers! You, P, AND D all just started a new one, gonna be a busy few months. Hehe
