Yea that growtronix is out of control. very pricey when fully loaded. I took a pretty good look at it last year. It's alot of bells and whistles. I didn't like the pc requirement. Not the expense, just don't want to rely on windows to grow. I also didn't care for all of the cables running between outlets and it doesn't address how you bring power into your space and safely control it.

I'm at 46 days today.and yes I just started straight water the other day. I have been reducing nutes for about 3 weeks as well.

Hey, can anyone tell me what size pump I would need for a fresca sol? Is 400 GPH suffcient? And what size is the inlet/outlet on the fresca sol jackets? 1/2"? Also can I run 2 of these lights in series to my res or do i need seperate lines per light?

What size of pump depends on how high the light is. I'm using a 700gph pond pump. It's 700 @ 1ft and about 1/2 that at the height that I have to lift to, so I'm running about 300 or so gph. I feel confident that there's enough volume there to run an additional fixture on the same circuit. And yes, you can run up to 4 inline. I don't think it's recommended though. the last one inline would be getting much hotter water than the first.

Be better to plumb an in and out with PVC with outlets for each light.

Yes, the inlet is 1/2 barbed fitting.

Cool, thx for the response. I actually found a pretty informative write up at bestcoastgrowers.com. I went ahead and got 2 1000 GPH pumps and will throw 2 lights per pump. Im going to try and fashion some rudimentary manifold distribution for the whole system. We will see how it all pans out.

I think the liquid lumens guys, or maybe it was the ice box guys had a nice simple setup on youtube, you might look it up.

1/2" pvc is so cheap and there are tons of fittings and valves.

It would sure be nice to find some kind of pressure switch you could put inline with the water from the pump so that if the water isn't flowing the light power is cut. Would have saved you one unit already... There has to be some kind of suitable switch you guys could use or something else inventive for that same safety feature. Cheap insurance.

I have one installed, thing is, I was going in with the intention of rewiring everything into my room automation controller. I disconnetced everything, including the flow switch., which normally is wired to a relay. In my automation system it is digitally controlled and had already had the leads moved over.

i was working away when i thought, "Damn it's getting cold in here, that hps will warm things up in here and fired it up, I realized about 1 hour later the error of my ways and plugged the pump in. cold water and hot glass and CRACK!

Theses are not included in the package and cost upwards to 200. I bought the switch for 80 and wired my own relay. I have seen .5" flow switches on ebay that look much more industrial than the liquid lumens one that I bought although the one I have is very robust.

Replacement tubes are $100 bucks. Give or take. You can buy a whole assortment of replacement gaskets fittings and so forth for the Frescas. Plus bulb....40-100 depending ofc.

I bought a whole new fixture, a local dealer just happened to get one in. I had talked to him about them, not really recommending them to him, but he wanted to check it out. So I was able to replace the whole fixture the next day. I ordered a new lens and gasket set which are in. I'll pick them up Monday and then I'll have 2 complete units. Hmmmmmmm

i got the replacement for 220. guy gave me a great deal. also got an eye 1k

Well, tonight is the 56th night of 12/12 so I'm right on track for a nice day after Christmas harvest. things are going quite well. the girls are into their second week of straight water flush and are heavy with flowers, ripe and yellowing rapidly. I will do my absolute best to get some pics taken before the chop. Just been crazy busy. My best guestimate is 20-24 oz.
