secret door to grow

soo my new room is in my basement and i wanna make a hidden secret door from my laundry room.... who here has made one? or has seen one? just looking for some ideas thanks guys!

Ive got this figured out in Minecraft

what kind of door are u talking ....most of them a built to look like something else

i know a simpler method of turn a wall into some hidden door......i know 2 methods one is built into this house...other is something i picked up

the simplest way is a hinge system mounted in the paneling but it needs to be something that masks it like 70s wood paneling dark stuff then the lock to keep it shut is one of those magnetic child locks so no visible latch/turn key

the other method is making a wall but the frame is not fully nailed in a whole section of wall is held on using magnetic locks .......for u to get into the room u would need to turn off a break to kill power to the locks allowing u to slide the wall panel out and enter in the room ......yes a a whole breaker just for that so the only way in is to turn it off that is something the cops would never think of doing they would try a switch like little kids but to mess with a breaker (label it something like heating panel for some other room)

soo in my basement we have a laundry room and right behind it is where i built my new room ( ill take some pics in a few ) so what im thinking is building a 4'x2'x6' case ( like a book case ) for all the shit she needs to do laundry .... with like 3 or 4 shelves and i would make it so the back of the case is really a door and the 3 shelves would be attached to the "door" but i would make it so the door way would be split in the middle of the top and side of the big case so you wouldnt even know it was there.... not sure if im explaining it right lol but what i have in my mind is f ing pimp!! lol im gonna draw up some ideas and ill post some pics

to do this would mean the whole thing is on a hinge system u are going to needs a larger stronger hinge to all it to swing out with all that weight

now u build the outer frame and attach that to wall and floor (this is the door frame ) the hinge will be on the side u want it to stay attached build the wall so fit in frame ( u want to make it steady and sturdy with that weight ) then the back side the inside u add drywall so can not see in it .....on the outside u are going to use Pegboard

as u see it is great for hangers and all that stuff ........it also cuts down on weight....and it is panels so seams this is what allows u to open the door and close it with the hinge hidden and the fact the wall moves

so now u can open the door the bottom is not touching 1/8 inch and the top 1/8 inch ...no scrap marks to tip off ..the pegboard will also allow u to use a wire hanger and slide into hole and pull to open (once the latches are opened )

the idea works on smaller doors too the paneling from the pegboard

this is a pull pin system so u take it mount inside and hook wire to door (u open so far take wire off door so does not pull it and open up ) anyone opening it that does not know where will set off the smoke and u have a chance to escape or u know someone was in that room

personally i would make my own mixing in hot pepper oil so it is more like a tear gas effect

change the carpet out for tile in there the door will be harder to see .......right now cop would know to lift it out

My first was a room I split in half with wall hung two shelves one on top of the other DVD cabinets bolted to a peice of plywood with hidden hinges and a gate latch on the inside the best part was you pulled chech n chongs up in smoke dvd and it pulled the latch and the whole thing swung open and you stepped throg the door.

so i did some work last night and have my opening for my "hidden door" im gonna finish it this weekend... just gotta get what i need to make my shelve with heres some pics of before and after.... i started building the room 2 weeks ago and i havnt spent a dime yet!!! everything is all scrap from the job site lol but hey thats the bennys of being a drywaller!! lol

and here are my babies awaiting thier new home i started germ 2 weeks ago and just last sunday they all pushed through so i placed them in 1 gls and i gotta say i very happy with how quick they are pushing for sure!! planning to be in full veg by the weekend after next and then its on!! oh yea!! so excited to finaly be set up to always have girls pushing beautiful buds!! with my 5x6x6 flower bay and 2x 1,000 hps, giving me 66 watts per sq, 6-8 girls im hoping to get atleast 2-2.5 lbs every 2-3 months!! gonna tightin this shit up and get it locked down! f ing pumped!!

heres what i veg with....400 mh..... and heres what my girls looked like 4 weeks under it last run...then finished with a 600 hps...

honestly im only making the door hidden so my sons wont know how to get in lol my oldest is 15 and well you know....... we talked about it and all and he knew what i was doing in the basement anyways but still i feel better if he cant figure out how to get in ya know

In that case hiding is pointless. Why not use a heavy duty steel security door?

anyways... V- man!! whats up? how ya been??... so im stepping it up a bit from when you had helped me a bit with my first run.... that was in a home made 4x5x6 box.... but as you can see i built a 12x10x7 room in my basement so ill have a flower bay, veg bay, mother/clone/seedling bay and a little closet for hanging/drying... plus a little work area for myself....pretty stoked!!!

pointless??? how so? the point it would serve is keeping people i dont want in the room out.... steel door.... considering a door like that would cost 3 times what my whole room cost i take it your just being snarky? either way making this door way really hasnt cost extra or has it been a hasle of any sort and i just think its pretty f ing badass so weather i needed it or not i would have still done it.... youll see ... its gonna be the tits!!

anyway on another note, so seeing as im still very much a newber (2nd grow) if any of you wouldnt mind answering a question i have on my venting and fresh air, idk if im over thinking it orr ..... i do want the best quality ventalation setup for the cleanest fresh air i can give to them... my lights and fresh air are the two areas i want to go overboard with though... well to the point before its maxed out ya know
