Seed Distribution Idea

Ok, So I thought of this because I have had this super strong urge lately to get my grow on, but what if there was a way where everyone can act as a donatary seed bank for their fellow growers? Like for instance, say I am in need of white widow, just a single seed hopefully fem'd, but if not, np I could submit my request with an address and someone (like a secret santa) will fullfill that req. by sending me the seed, as a cost of 49c plus the cost of seed. Once the person receives the seed, they report that they got it, and the person who sent it could somehow get a credit or some sort, or maybe just a big thank you for being cool and taking the time to do something so nice for someone else. You would of course would not send it to the location you are growing or in your name. And the person sending it would not put their information on the return mailing. This is all done within the country you reside, U.S for me, and never goes through customs. You can wear gloves if your super noid about prints, etc.

I just feel like there should be a better way of doing this. I ordered seeds a while back and they never arrived, and if we all helped each other when we can there will be more growers and of course, more buds!

Quite the idea... but why put a charge on it? Should you really have to pay for seed? I know I'm a giving person and if I had a strain and some extra seed that someone wanted, I'd pay postage to send it to a fellow grower. I think all the work and time spent nurturing our precious plants can be costly enough.

we could possibly set something up if I get a male in my next crop... Once your grow is operational there really is no need for seed unless you want a different strain.

For me this is a hobby to keep me busy and to supply myself... Not looking to make any profits, so why not share seed?

I got some bag seed on the way... have to get my green thumb back before really investing in some good strains.

I am 100% for not paying for them, and simply doing another a kind jesture while supporting the U.S mail system with their required 49c postage (or whatever it is today). The point is, if more seed is available to those who want to grow, then more people growing = more people smoking = more people willing to vote YES! to legalization. I MAY have some white widow soon and if this happens I would be glad to be the first person to drop one in an envelope and pray the person requesting it treats it with all the love that person has to offer. And if it's male, grow it out and spread the love x100 fold.

I really think you all should see Marijuana Nation, if you haven't. It was on today and Marc Emery makes some really good points. He wants us to do what he did. He wants us to supply each other, make seeds readily available to your friends, loved ones, internet cronies, etc. I think it's time we stop douching our asses and start spreading the love! the more I think about this, the more interesting it gets. You wouldn't have to worry about a cop sending you seed to your house since it illegal for them to act as suppliers. Otherwise that is entrapment. With this being the case it drastically reduces the chance your request for seed would be fulfilled by the police.

why not order a single seed from attitude and get some good genetics. Plus they are always running free offers. You could buy 1 seed, and get 5 g13 labs power skunk for free.


I see what you are getting at though. A great idea, You could probably do it too. First find a off shore hosting company, or use the service rip uses. Set up a forum a trading post of sorts. There is no actual selling of anything, just free, plus shipping or something like that. You are just as likely to get caught just as having them sent from a seed bank. If you send it properly then all good.

Thats a great idea, but wouldn't making the United States and Australia self dependent on seeds be a better thing in terms of legalization? There is going to be a large population of people that will not risk importing seeds, no matter how stealth it might be. Importing a controlled substance is a big deal to most people. We obviously have more balls than most people (well some of us, sry ladies).

I would hope Buffalo Bill isn't suggesting we circulate schwag seeds. I am just curious how he suggests submitting requests. Would these be public requests? Made to a group of members willing to participate. How many people will actually participate? To many questions, not enough info.

I hear you, I mean I pretty much laid out a way to do it, in my post. I was also just saying its pretty much just the same now adays. People left and right order seeds. Yes they are a bit more money, but you have a great chance of genetics. I don't want to send for john doe's seeds and get shitty bag herms. So it would have to build a rep with growers, and have some form of requirements to trade. Believe me I have a sheeeet load of seeds. Of course I wouldnt grow 99% of them, due to where they came from. if you have people forcing there females to produce herms is the way to go. You are more likley to ge the female traits. 1 plant cloned serveral times over . I would be down. Again, I dont want john does bag shwag from Idaho.

Plus you will have the argument Why would I just give good genetics away. I know you are saying to yourself, no way people cant be that crass. Yes they can.

I just wonder what people do when they buy 5 seeds of something nasty and one is a male? Are you growing out the male in isolation to get a shit load of equally nasty genetic seed? Seed that many people would love to have? It's so much easier to send a seed from point A -> B without having customs involved. The risk is like zero, and maybe the government will come to terms with what could be the best thing that ever happens to this country, and others.

I wouldn't be so concerned about the money factor. It shouldn't cost more than half a pepsi to hook a brutha up. And if that person gets a male from the single seed you send, then he should grow it out and rinse lather repeat.

Most folks who grow, kill the males. I mean I don't have room to grow a male. That's why I get Fem seeds and clone. I mean if i had the room, believe me I would grow reg seeds and have a sep male room for seeds and pollen to cross strains, etc. but I see the majority of folks who would use such a service or a club would be like me. Just can grow a couple at a time.
