Colder weather & frosty nights right around the corner I test fired my mini heater tonight it's small, has a thermostat & timer built in with a 2-speed fan & plugs strait in to the power strip with a circuit breaker built in it the heater consumes 350 watts when running20211104_193945.jpg20211104_194121.jpg20211104_194247.jpg

They responded well to the light increase so I gave them their first real flooding today this is hydroponics in about it's most simple form royal gold tupur in 3 gal.smart pots with oversize drip pan to catch the runoff the funnel & hose allows me to flood the pots while standing upright it has been 3 weeks since putting the seedlings in here we had rain this morning but humidity & temps programming I'm starting to show daily progress 20211105_095516.jpg20211105_094446.jpg20211105_094327.jpg20211105_094401.jpg20211105_094425.jpg

Heater and sp3000 light jumped to 575 KWH..
Going to test out climate in room tonight
See how much it cost to run 8 hours with controller 67 & inkbird humidity &temperature controller and small reflective heater
Temp can get in 40 in garage at night
Light really stays cool will need heater
Plus a dehumidifier it jumps al over tgebplaxe

My growroom in one end of unheated workshop gets 40 ish at night I've been using these heaters for 3 winters in my 3x3 tents this is first time using in the 4x2 like you I'm gonna pick a colder night to test run the heat in the 4x2 my humidity stays manageable even when it rains let me know how your setup performs you've got me curious lol I'm putting clip on fans on top poles of tent to push rising warm air back down towards plants

Hi Herk, im looking at your girls here and i think something is up, the growth should double every week. Can you check highs and lows in temp? Otherwise maybe too wet? I feed only once every three days at this size.

Something is stunting your growth....

Im sure its overwatering, your leaf-ends pointing down and all...
Yeah I think the coco might be a bit oversaturated the heat & fan should dry it out some right now I'm flooding once a week & lower nighttime lights out temps as well I ran the heater last night & they've perked up a bit it's late fall here & frosty nights almost upon us they're not actually praying towards the light yet but they're turning in that direction20211107_092433.jpg20211107_092412.jpg

The weather has turned clear & cooler at night warming in the late afternoon I'm experimenting with my light schedule as I've found sufficient heat during lights on @100% power I'm getting sufficient heat to warm the tent this is a versatile light indeed I'm starting to like it I've modified my light schedule to 20hrs. On 4hrs off from 100pm.to 500pm. lights off which is the warmest part of the day the plants will tell the story my power bill is liking the efficiency of this schedule this is my temp this morning after running the light through the night I'm making good use of these oversize heatsinks I'm wanting to put my exhaust fans on a thermostat switch at some point especially if my lights on temps climb any higher my plants look happier & starting to show daily growth I'm starting to find my groove 20211108_105927.jpg20211108_105954.jpg20211108_110000.jpg

The nights are getting colder now in late fall frost coming at any time I got styrofoam peices to get my pots off the floor & put heat mats under them to warm the rot zone getting growth daily 20211111_133341.jpg20211111_174059.jpg20211111_174147_001.jpg20211111_174508.jpg20211111_174514.jpg20211111_174623.jpg

Gonna be a long night as the outside temps drop I'm gonna go down & take plant level temperature readings I put in a clip on fan on the top poles of the tent to push warm air from the light back down to the plants the nights have started to frost but so far temps seem manageable if I can maintain 68degrees farenheit or higher im good I fed tonight next feeding I'm gonna increase the nutes running the light at about 80% power 20211112_174933.jpg20211112_190941.jpg20211112_190956.jpg20211112_191001.jpg20211112_191010.jpg
