Oddly enough, the only reason I got into this whole idea was b/c I grew too much. This isn't something I had intended on making a business of, just fell into my lap. The problem is these idiots want to roll it into cigar paper and/or mix it with tobacco. There is a reason I use molasses, it improves the flavor among other things. To be brutally honest, African-Americans are not a good target market. I'm not even going to bother with it, not worth the risk. I'd rather make hash and Halloween butter cookies.

It's funny I went to catch a sale I tell dude I got pineapple express. He's like I don't know man I was wanting kush!! I laugh like dude it's pineapple kush! He swoops it up like thanks man. In order for me to make moves I don't need to tell them the real strain just put the kush name on it and it sells. Lol fucking n00b smokers!

The first couple grow I did was bag seed, and I'm telling you that the final product eclipsed what it came from. I'm pretty convinced that commercial starts out as pretty good genetics, just grown all wrong, You can have quality or quantity, it's your choice. I have had some absolute FIRE out of bag seed. May be I was just lucky. Could be..........

Here in LA that is called stress. Due to our close proximity we get alot of it but also of course its Cali so we always got the chronic. But ive taken seeds from stress bags and I grow it and it always comes out super bomb with thc levels in the upper teens. Mexicans just leave males in, then once the plants are already dead they harvest it, and compress it with bug larvae and all. Before I became a prop 215 patient I smoked a ton of stress, u get like 2.5 grams for $5. The only time I wud even touch stress now wud be to extract its seed stock, which is very strong. In a typical nickel sack u can find about 7 mature seeds ready to be grown into some fire.

I think a LOT of commercial growers intentionally allow hermaphrodites to increase weight. Oh, and my phone rang about an hour ago. The price was agreed to on my outdoor stuff, that didn't take long. Looks like I get that new lighting set-up I've been wanting after all...hehe!.

In the shit lands of mexico the workers that farm these fields of weed have no fucking clue what a hermaphrodite is. They just haul in some manure and plant seeds. 4 months later they come back and its on its way to the US. They are clearly too stupid to remove males so what makes u think they wud kno about hermies and genetics

I would never underestimate someone's savvy because of where he does his work.
The Mexicans grow the way they do because it's the most efficient conversion of effort into money.

It's not that they're stupid, they just don't give a shit. It's commercial, and they get the money they want for it, stems, seeds, leaf and all. They plant it, water it, and harvest it with minimal exposure.
When I sold, there were NO stems whatsoever, and so very little bit of sugar leaf it was inconsequential. I trim to the Nth degree, and STILL people didn't want to pay my price. I can't figure some folks out. You buy an OZ of schwag, and you get at a minimum of 8-10 grams of seed and stem (If not more).

I'm starting to grow my own weed because I'm sick of smoking that crap. You can buy it here for $40 and ounce, but man does that shit suck.

Anybody smoked AZ? Its low grade backyard boogie but it has minimal seeds and its still green, not brown and moldy like stress. Its another common thing here in LA.

I believe the males aren't pulled from commercial mexican fields because the seeds add a lot to the overall weight. Weight = $$. I think sometimes people forget that they're simply growers, not connoisseurs like most of us, lol.

This thread is so funny. All these people saying they wouldn't touch the shitty looking brown (or green) mexican weed. I'd bet a years supply of bud that EVERY one of those people would JUMP on the chance to smoke it (the mexican) if they couldn't find the primo stuff for a few months.

They are growing hundreds of pounds usually and they do pull the males they see and find. If they didn't then trust and believe it would be a whole lot more seeds (sometimes this is the case, but in the midwest where we still get 1200 a bow for press, these bricks usually go for 800). A breeder once told me that everyone would try to find great genetics in brick weed if it was really worth it. But usually the seeds are through unacceptable males. And remember a lot of people who only smoke and have access to the brick weed usually equates the long ago degraded THC levels into CBD and others as being 'high'. I've seen people smoke great kind bud and believe they weren't high because it didn't stone them in their bodies lol.

Like any business, the consumer is rarely more informed than the "producer". I have bought QPs in the united states that were rock hard slabs that appear to be crushed by an elefant, and then in miami I started getting bags of fluffy lime green stuff, with just a 1/4 of the seeds compared to the dark shit, totally the opposite. Depends on your city, your customers might be seeing a lot of variation or something...

I have only done one grow using seeds from press and that was about 25 plants under a 1k with co2and a bunch of other waste...never did I see anything that compared to the WORST of seeds available from Greenhouse or any other company. Yes they were better than that which they came from tenfold...but they still aint shit. Even found an Indica dominant but for the musty scent it's resin production was about a 1 on scale to 10. I got off of it as I would any other sensi, but I'd rather grow Church than swag seed...and I'd rather quit growing and taking the risk if that was all I had.

That's the beauty of being a grower, and good logistical planning. Even now, when I can't grow anything, I have that option available, but.................NAH!!! SO.....I'll PM you an addy you can send my years supply to! LOL
