Seeds?

Not sure if its OK to put this question up but does anyone know of a place to buy seeds in Newzealand?

I have had nothing but failures with cloning and getting seeds from over seas is to risky for me due to the fact that I can't really afford to lose $150 usd if they get lost/destroyed in the mail.

I really hope this doesn't piss people of because I can guess that it's probably not a popular question so apologies if I upset anyone.

Thanks

Hi, your all good with your question, theres also a huge sub section for breeders and seed banks, so you can look at the bud pics and get reviews from other growers.

Have you checked out Seedsman? Im almost certain they sell and ship to aussies and Nz, they have a huge selection of many breeders and have shown to be legit the few times i have ordered from them.

Attitude seed bank also ships your way i think? not 100% sure.

Don't give up on cloning, just keep trying different methods until you find one that works for you.

I clone in perlite filled solo cups with holes in the bottoms and sides, placed in a tote with a little water in the bottom.
Yea I'll keep trying but I'm on my last 3 plants with no more seeds... I've taken 6 clones and done 2 in moisture domes exactly like on all the tutorials on line but they just wilt and die... I have 4 that seem almost happy ofter 3 days, they are just put in pots sitting on my deck.. They are the best attempt so far even though everything I read says I'm doing it wrong. I'm really hoping they survive but I would like to find a source for seeds.

Perhaps you should also enquire how to clone too..there a lot of knowledgeable people on this website that'll help...

A few keys that can make a dramatic difference...

Have a heat mat beneath your rooting clones...
pH your water..6.2-6.5
Keep them in a humidity dome for the first week or so while they root (higher RH)
Don't overwater
Use less intense light while rooting..

Cheers

Ive not cloned in a while but prefered undomed clones largely and very weak light. Once you find what works its actually hard to fail.

Too much of the root hormone wasnt good either as spent to much time making roots at the stem but not rooting.

Hi I am new here just made my first order through discreet seeds last week
they ship world wide and you are covered for a re-send too you have to choose the super stealth option i think.

Just trying to figure out how to use this forum lol

Is the heat mat essential and how does it help?

No..a heat mat is not essential for seeds (I dont use one) definitely recommended when doing cuttings mind you.

By warming the soil medium to a more optimal level, you're enhancing the environmental conditions needed to grow plants...plain and simple
