is there a way a seed is supposed to look before germination that enhances the probability of germination? (color, size, spots?)

as in can you look at a seed and tell that it is better or healthier than another (dealing with bagseed)

the darker colored round ones are generally the mature seeds and should sprout....make sure they aren't cracked

yep kindda dark tan with dark tiger stripes on them. the lighter colored/greenish seeds may sprout, but normally are immature. also, i read if you can apply pressure to the seed between your fingers and it doesnt crack it is good.. pre mature seeds crack/get smashed easily under little pressure where the good seeds can take quite a bit of squeezing before they crack/crush.
