Senate passes bill that would make Daylight Saving Time permanent

Of the many issues that should be at the top of the list of things to accomplish, this is what they choose to work on?

It is a distraction, sleight of hand, smoke and mirrors style tactic.

I would like to get rid of it. Getting dark at 4pm-430 is crap. Having it get light out earlier doesn't do much for me, would rather not drive home in the dark and it's nice to have enough light left to take the dog for a walk or do some sort of outdoor activity after work.

I agree, but having the sun at the high noon position at 1pm also seems weird.

Ok i might be trippin here. Resetting my timers in the growrooms makes me think for a second but as far as when I was working my trade. If it wasn’t for the way it is right now, your average everyday construction worker who helps build this country would be fucked for a couple/few months of the year.
Starting at 7am CAN avoid allot of traffic when we get off at 3:30. Theres’s a few days where it’s just barely light enough to start at 7 and then time change happens to make it all good.
Just sayin.

and aren't there pockets of the US that already does it? like part of indiana and arizona IIRC?

for me, having it light out at 9pm in summer is fine by me.

Now. I’m a liberal Democrat. But god damn that Nixon fella. He also signed into law the EPA and OSHA.
My how the republican party has changed. I don’t like the guy though don’t get me wrong.
It's a strange world when Nixon would be considered "radical left" by the current wackos.

i watched a bit of tony bourdain when he went to Chile last nite. i probably knew of this at soem point but nixon and the cia were responsible for the assassination and coup by pinochet (sp?) in 1973 in chile. so he's radical right and left depending. lol.

Yeah. The thing is. The republicans have always had zero problem cheating elections here in our homeland and seems like they do some seriously dirty shit elsewhere.

i am the complete opposite of a conspiracy theorist but if there was one that I do believe in it would be that the CIA had the Kennedy bros killed.
