That gives me an idea... if what was compressed was natural gas or hydrogen, and not air, you could get way more power from the same tank; some from the compressed part and some from the combustion of the fuel. Plus, the reciprocator would be cold from the gas expansion and the ICE would be hot from the combustion... perfect for heat or AC.
