If i didnt say before, out of this grow, while id like to get a good half pound, which i doubt id have trouble acheiving, my most important thing is quality, id rather yield 4 ozs of top quality than 16 ozs of decent bud, reason being, its all for me and i dont smoke a ton,, maybe a quater oz a week if that.. and on top of the smoking, its a cool hobby.. so in that ammt of time, i could do a new grow already.. i want top top top quality.. by quality i mean TASTE, LOOK, SMELL, THC.. Thc content doesnt even bother me, its more the quality of the smoke in all attributes.. if its 5% thc and its tasty as fuck, i wont mind smoking the whole joint vs the quater joint i usually smoke.. what the hells the difference? i can always grow more
On my next grow, im definatley going to research genetics and the most exotic of strains a little bit better.. but you grow and you learn, next time will be the highest quality there is, reguardless of yield.. I want to smoke it and be like WOW.. fuck the content of thc.. I want some connisseur level to be able to enjoy like a good cigar
I must say first and foremost, that the white widow has by far the most genetics and is the most stabilized, although i got a few slightly diff phenos out of it, they were all very close.. Also when I went to repot, the fucking roots were covered in the soil, i mean heavily, if i didnt repot when i did they might have went rootbound, which is something ive never seen in all my grows in that short period of time, all the other plants were barely able to come out of the pot, i had to yank em out and lose some roots in the process.. furthermore, theyve had nothing but great reaction to 800ppm of ferts, which for one week of growth is ridicolous, so they are my real hope for having serious quality and yield
as for the hash plant, its DECENT.. germination took the longest of all seeds, the phenos are all way different and a few didnt make it past germ, others are a little runted, over all its decent genetics and the roots were good, some got burned from the feeding, others slightly burned, other took it well.. however i probably wont grow this again
My biggest dissapointment of all is the soma somango, ive always been fascinated by soma strains, as they are intended for soil, and they are intended to be super high quality low yielders, which while id like some high yielders, im willing to go for low yield for some super high quality exotic strains.. Now because of that I cant say yet wheter or not they are going to acheive that high quality, but from the looks it seems like only 2 are real good phenos, the other 2 are runts and one died.. I plan on keeping em all runt or not, you never know what kind of bud they can put out, and even if the plant gives me 7 grams, if its 7 grams of the tastiest bud ever, im happy and ill savor it.. bottom line is, genetics are unstable and hopfully atleast one plant is as intended
keep in mind i havent grown for 3 years, so ive lost alot of basic knowledge, but its all coming back pretty quick, as i hit a problem, im like oh shit i remember that , but since most plants are doing great i feel like im on the right track, i dont wanna blame it all on the seeds is the bottom line, but you can tell who has bad genetics and who has good.. its just hoping within those not so great genetics, you get one or two plants as they were intended.
