Seran wrap method

I was looking into the seran wrap method of getting your seed to sprout out the ground, for you guys who don't know what I'm talking about you just plant your seed regularly then over the container you completely cover the top with seran wrap and it somehow helps with your plants, I'm pretty sure I've seen that you could also keep it in the dark and the seed will still pop out the ground. But I've been researching about it and some people say no because stuff with fungus and mold then some people say yes because maintaining humidity for seedlings is important. Anyone out there try this method and it work or fail? Do you prefer old fashion method of just sticking seed in soil and leaving it in the sun?

I think you may be over-thinking germination and seedling development. IMHO as long as the environment is conducive to life the seed will sprout and grow. Keeping it healthy as it begins to grow and mature is what cultivation is really all about.

But a lot of people do the same thing or variations...plastic bags, plastic domes and other stuff. That is one of the best things about growing your own meds...all the choices are yourz...:bigjoint::peace:
