Setting up dtw coco 2.5x5 tent

I can maybe just cut and add one more manifold for the 3x3 so I can have 4 one gal clones and 4 four inch pots for mother plants?

I think I can leave everything else as is since its 4 plants or less but the veg tent will have 6 minimal but may find another keeper or two later on.

They recommend one line per plant but in there bundles they split lines. I see the bleed valve, didnt notice that before.

The bleed valve is not needed. Maybe its for a long line of bubblers but it tends to spurt water before closing. Annoying so I cut it off and capped it, no problem.

Just looking at reviews on the site, what are the arms coming out of the pvc, just support? Is this guy in reviews having weak coverage because he split the lines? That and weaker pump?

What are these colored rings for? Thught they were caps for the manifold. Can you close individual ports or how else would you? Are the tubes just all pvc and these are made to fit pvc?

They can be inserted in the manifolds to reduce the flow to the ports. I don't use them but I could see doing so if, like you, I wanted to run different sizes on the same schedule.

I found trellis netting thats I think food grade but for sure plastic, was going to hang one and then another with wider holes they both fit right into the tents.

But ok that makes sense I just would use a fitting to connect to tubing or use pvc all the way to reservoir but I dont think I need that.

The sog suggestion has been standing out lately realizing now I have clones I grew out. How much it could do if I made 9 half oz colas per square foot. Heck even 6 of them would almost make a pound.

Something to keep thinking about for sure. A challenge to water unless doing ebb and flow. I may setup the 2x2 to be able to do sog.

Flood tray must be able to fit inside and should reach the edges since the plants are straight up standing right? Trays cannot be exactly 2x2 then.

After setting up 3x3 veg I will have a spot perfect for a 2x2 that will sit between and be the next thing to work on. Not urgant and more of a area 51 test lab of sorts. Idk why Im just now realizing sog benefits.

lmao, I don’t know why you are just realizing it either, I’ve been telling you all about SOG for months.

As far as I’m concerned SOG is THE MOST efficient way to grow. You don’t spend any time growing stem or bushy leaves that get trimmed off later. You are only growing premium nugs, no larf or popcorn.

I really like ebb and flow. But you can do SOG with drip emiters/rings or flora flex caps. I’ve even seen it done with an NFT style feed system.

Yea I was thinking about turn around time, idk. I didnt bust out the calculator and do the math to see I could yield like freakin 36-56 oz in that one tent alone. The 2.5x5.

It does sound like some dedidacted work, I just didnt think much about it because of plant count and just sounded like a huge mess.

But yes, a mess worth having. Holy cow. edit: I didnt pay much mind because 100+ plants would be the next level if you know what I mean, trying to stay within legel state laws. Yup checked again, 50 is 50 and 100 is 100.

I felt better stepping back to 12 or less with secret bonsai mothers. A bit hard setting up canopies but will dial it in.

I did, it said 24, rows of 8. I was just calculating if I made all my tents SOG and packed even more than that in the spots there were no plants like Ive seen many times online.

24 is already twice the limit and I was considering going over 12 so long as its less than 50 but I found a couple nice strains and can keep hunting when I set up my 2x2.

I have a super basic setup that can always be changed to sog if I dont change plans again.

Whats cool is it can be finished in no time and yield so much i can actually turn everything off for a while at a time.

Is 6 days too early to see roots in aerocloning? Not seeing any. Forced air heater died so just aquarium heater which is still working. Was 65F now 62F room temp but water is 72F.

Does checking on them like that set back the results? I did one first and saw nothing so checked the rest to also make sure the aquarium heater was working.

Theyre all perked up since the beginning but idk if this is good or bad. Edit about to take 8 more in root riot my first succeeded method just in case. Its a mother its meant to be cut up.

Another edit I read grow weed ez and other places can take 2-3 weeks. Was expecting sooner results.

I've seen cuttings nub out in less than 2 days in aero cloners, but yeah 6 days could also be too soon, depending on so many variables..

Now is a perfect time to layer a couple of those root riots onto a few good size branches of your mother plant, and learn ya a new propagation skill. ;)

The water surface temp was 69F but shouldnt you read it with a probe or something? Isnt the surface cooler? I upped temp to 74F just in case that might help speed things up.

Does bearding them up make them grow faster above surface? Im not sure what stunted my clones last time, took over a month to start growing above surface.

I planted them in a struggling state where as my first time I got fast growth, 2 weeks they were booming which Im aiming for now.

Might as well keep them in a thriving state to get it to the next phase smoother right?

So I am setting up several pots to the orbit and seeing yup it needs two individual lines for it to work for the 6” pots. It still has a few areas its not quite getting but mostly even drip.

Here it is finally get to see it at full blast with flora pots. Two fresh clones two more coming and two bonsai mother attemps so the one pot and two 4” pots have a split line so not working the best.

About to order stuff for 3x3 veg tent to get plants situated, time is passing faster than I was aware of.
