Shopping for Bubble Bags

I plan to follow subcool's hash tutorial...

One thing about the ipower bags is they have a 90 micron bag... most others I see have 120 or 110 and 73. From his tutorial, it sounds like 90 and 73 micron is the shit. Of course, if the screen mesh is shitty quality then the 90 micron bag doesn't mean much.

I was going to place an 80$ bean order but now I'm all fucked up.



Here's some I'm considering... which would you chose of these 3?

Word up lol. I just used the dry ice method bro.
A 5 gallon bucket, the 220 micron bag, an ounce and a q of trim, and 30 minutes shaking.
I gotta a couple vids that show the method I use on the last couple pages of my grow thread, which is linked in my sig.
After consulting with some friends tho, I've come to the conclusion that I shaked too much out which added to the green.
But its all good tho. Live and learn..

And what I should have done what kept the grade of hash separate tho rather than combining it all into one.
Gave the brick to my caregiver anyway and he was satisfied with it. I ended up keeping about an 8th for myself..

But I'm about to be ordering so more seeds too lol but gonna wait till 4/20 because I'm sure Attitude will be doing something nice then!
And if you just wanna get by bro, these bags will do. I don't plan on buying anymore for a while...And I won't complain about the price or quality of the bags given the amount of kif, NOT HASH lol, but KIF that I got from the leaf.

And I haven't even used the other 4 bags yet lol. I'll try them out here in a couple weeks and post again for sure bro.
I like money lol. I'm not collecting this shit. This is all stuff that I'm willing to burn or destroy in a moments notice.

I'm not knocking none of these dudes preaching quality and cash and blablabla and won't argue and clutter up your thread...
I'm just saying you can pull it off with these bags and put the rest of that seed money towards those seeds.
 
my buddy got the ipower ones and i got the virtual sun one. both work good and i have had mine a few runs longer about 5 runs in the virtual sun bag just need to get some iso to clean the screen/
 
listen to mattemil and me dude, based of sincerely420's results, he obviously doesnt know much about making good bubble hash if bubble at that. My first run 10 years ago looked better than that... come on man. Im just trying to help you out and tell you whats best. If you dont want to spend the extra 80-100 dollars you'll be sorry that's all im going further say.
 
if you plan on doing loads and loads through it thought i would suggest a extended wall bag also. will be more expensive but speed the draining process up near 45 and 25 bags. thats the only thing i found out doing it with these types of bags.
 
Well I think he's making dry ice kief. I don't have the money for brand name bubblebags or the bags you linked. "Want" has nothing to do with it. I can either get some cheaper bags or just have no hash at all and throw my trim in the garbage disposal.

This is a personal grow so there won't be much quantity. 1 gallon bags would be fine but I plan to upgrade some shit and the 1g bags might be a pain in the ass after a while.
 
i personally went with the virtual sun hydroponics 8 bag 1 gallon kit. happy with quality. little bit of color bleaching during the cleaning process, but only the first couple runs.
 
The only reason I didn't get the one gallon set bro, was because all the reviews said that ppl had a hard time finding buckets for them.

Lol then right after I ordered I found a video of a guy using them with a "Planters Peanut can" and it worked just the same.
 
buckets are indeeed a bitch. I ended up using 2.5 quart paint buckets from lowes. they fit the lip of the bucket well, but the bucket could be twice as tall for the size of the bag. for my runs thus far it has worked out okay I suppose.

the benefit of the 1 gallon is less ice, and it fits in the fridge/freezer when you gotta take a break or have company in the middle of a run lol.

*edit*, and I follow the subcool vid to the tee generally. I do the second run of my trim/bud with a 9 minute electric mixer.

Kief is yellowish-white, not bright green. This is supposed to be a technical forum. Let's at least try to further realistic constraints.

i have the one gal set and they are a tad bit tight when trying to flip inside out to scrape im only growing a few grows a year too but with the trim and popcorn nugs im almost at the 2 oz limit for the bags. you could always do more but i would not recommend start off with the smaller bags. do 7-10 runs then upgrade. thats basically what im doing maybe one or two more runs through mine and im getting extended wall. and possibly the machine also.
 
After reading the thread and a bunch of google and some youtube I think I'm going to get the six bag set of 5g Sprung Bags for $89.

This review of 6 bag manufacturers, as well as this thread on some scandalous wacky willy's web shit (also featuring people complaining about payload bags ripping) helped make my decision.

Thanks for all the help and persuading me to step it up from the amazon bags.

Can anyone link subcool's full melt video? I only saw the written tutorial and can't find the video.
 
What ever you get let use know how it works.

I undersatnd the reason for high quality over cheap, but for me, the trimmings go in the composter. I dont know if I want to make hash or not. So I thought it best to START at the Entry level, until I know what I am doing, Then I can get the better bages, once I know how to do it and why Bag X is better the Bag Y.
