If they wanted a cell phone they could go out and buy one. Thats not what they're after they want to illigally obtain personal information. They may be looking for terrorists but they are going threw everybody's shit in the process. Isnt that covered under the 4th ammendment?
For example Imagine some fugitive running away from cops in your area. Cop knocks on your door and tells you he would like to look around.. you gonna let him in or are you gonna empeed with an investigation? I'd tell them to fuck off.
