i've spoken to the dude that sold me my nutes and he assured me I'm very safe and that they never release info to the police, unless they have a court order for a specific sale....should i trust him?

Are these types of shops easy sources of grower info for the cops where they just have to get access to the shop's sales records every now and then to check the addresses of people who used bank cards at the store and follow up with busts on customers likely to be using the bought products?

I'm feaking out that the cops will forever have my address and just periodically bust me.
Should I be concerned? Has anyone done something similar and regreted it? Do the cops do this?

Na, they're told to say that. When my bro got popped I talked to the grow shop dude, said the same shit. But the paperwork said different. Sell that house and just move bro. You're never going to feel comfortable again.

I was gonna say. These guys are fuckin with ya, @SAYER. I wouldn't worry too much. I slapped down 400 for an LED horticulture light through my bank. And the months of reading I've done cruising the net. And other various purchases of nutrients, etc. Unless you're being a dickhead. Or growing an entire room full of plants. I don't think they'll even bother.

I live in an illegal state. There are hydro shops. Never heard of people getting busted from. I mean I have but never read or saw it in the news here.

A hydro store is legal.

They get your address by following you home, or a pic. of your tag at the shop Sort through your elec. bills. if you have the new meter, you are toast. If not they profile your bills, If the bill took a jump they come calling, and as sure as there are stars above, will claim they smell weed when you open the door.

Dude. Don't stress. People like overgrown are just trying to stress you for their amusement.

Think about. Cannabis is only a small portion of a hydro shop. Lots of people grow veggies. If they went kicking in doors on everyone that bought a light and plugged it in. Think about it man.

Seriously. One plant and a few hundred watts at most. That's about the same as a good gaming computer.

Aquariums, veggies, all kinds of legal reasons.

Just keep your mouth shut and don't tell no one. That's how people get busted.
