should i vent to the attic or same room im pulling from?

Pushing
I'm going to try this out today. I'll try to get up there and look for a vent but it's not easy to access being directly above my plants.
Why do you push? I believe pulling is more efficient with the hoods I have. Pulling makes sure the air is smoothly traveling into the next hole/flange whatever they r called. If your pushing air towards one side of the hood there's no way to garuntee a smooth path UNLESS you have one of those tubes surrounding your bulbs, but I use the styles that have a swing down glass panel.
Pushing/ pulling is a preference thing I suppose, but I get where your coming from. As long as theres a sealed path from fan to exhaust i don't think it would make that big of a difference either way. I.m.o.

Exactly I have cooltubes.

You are right pulling is more efficient..

But I preffer pushing air for the smell also any way the hot air will get out smooth pass or not smooth pass ((it will get out still)) :)

Is it important to make sure the intake is from the bottom? are those filters cheap and light proof? I have light on in the bedroom
Yes its better to be in the bottom.

Hot air will go up, cold air down.

I have a piece of filter cloth on my intake.

You can get a black hepa filter cloth as well

But I didnt even had the passive intake hole that green mention above.

The air just comes from under the door.

I dont need to isolate the window at all!!

I have this kind of window

View attachment 3645356

Its standard in the EU to have such windowes.

Temps is great also when lights out.

But any way if you need to isolate urs you can use glass insulating sheet.

Hope this helps.

I have good windows too. What I mean is you have to open the window to get air in or out. How do you insolate the part of the window that is open with no intake or exhaust? It has to be open at least 6 inches. How do you keep the cold out?

I just crack it open by less than 0.5cm (you cant even notice its open!)not more so the intake fans can pull the air from behind the window

Here is my setup I know its not sharming but it works for me

1459372434156-2011026636.jpg and here is the outside

The intake tubes is behind the window drawing and no one can see it.

Regadin the white curtin inside the room it blocks the light as well.

Hope this helps

Also i have sms hyprid controller

And When it gets cold the intake fan stops and the exhust work on minimal speed.

And as you can see the window is almost pretty closed so there is not really air gettin in.

During the summer the white curtin blocks the light.

I dont fully understand your setup. Pictures are at a confusing angle i guess. The small pc fan is your intake and the tube pointing out is exhaust? Does that mean that you do not have a dedicated intake running directly into your hood?

Am sorry if am not clear.

Okay one more time i run 6 lamps pc fan is not gonna make it for intake but duct fan will

The window is just intake

I have two intake fans with filter cloth on the window side

1x125mm duct fan here

Ill start off by saying we had a leak last winter and vissible roof damage down stairs. My mom was told it was an ice dam only at the door. but i personally think that we got some roof damage and its possible that there was alot of humidity sitting in the attic for a while could have caused some mold to start growing. i live in a condo and i dont think there is a vent up there... like shouldnt there be some sort of exhaust up there? i guess i could go up there but my lights are hooked up to it and it would be a bitch to take it apart and redo. i also dont know where the bathroom exaust leads too? hopefully outside and not the attic... if thats the case i prob have an existing duct system i can share with the bathroom fqan
I have to add some vent fans i think i may be best doing this only in the door (pretend the door is a wall... im a 19 year old medical patient still living with mom. she said no drilling through the wall, but i can buy my own door and drill holes in it) So i am definatly intaking from my bedroom which is on the other side of the door. should i exaust into the attic or exaust into my bedroom. if theres mold in the attic i dont want it coming down through the weaker fan because i also have a 435 cfm or someshit like that for my lights exausting up in to there. the ventilation fan is 160 cfm
Should i keep the light how it is and have the 6 inch 160 cfm fans like 1.5-2 ft apart on the same door? will they still work if i did that?
i know im not really set up but i have restrictions. im the only personm that smokes in my ouse and everyone else is like anti-weed
will the stronger cfm fan going up there make the 160cfm fan useless because its putting air up there at a faster rate?
my grow room is like 300 cubic ft with 1900 watts, 1600 is hps i cant turn my lights all the way to 100% without heat problems. so the 1000 watt is on 75% and the 600 is on 100%

I think you should stick to outdoor growing until you get enough skills to set up your grow room properly. I am a skilled construction tradesman, and trust me, if you want a professional indoor grow, it's a lot of work and you are going to need to cut holes in drywall and repair them, do electrical, hvac work etc. Outdoor is way easier for just starting out and the yields are generally more. Not too mention the risk for fires is always there if your electrical is not set up properly. You definitely don't want to catch your house on fire from improper electrical, happened to me when I was first starting and didn't know what I was doing. Just a heads up.

Man I sort of agree with that, but at the same time I gotta say sometimes you just gotta make shit work. there are different tiers of growing for sure, and if you want medical grade marijuana from a proper lab then yah. Do the research, Pay the money, get your shit straight, and go hard.
But if youre a noob ass tryin to experiment and get your grow on fuck it. Set some janky shit up, make some mistakes, and get your learn on. We all have to start somewhere. Definitely advise plopping some ladies outside, it's well worth it. and Definitely would not advise burning your house down lol
Use a surge protector, keep your shit cool, and mount your ballasts. :)

One of my FIRST grows. Certainly not a grow room, and just about everything you can see is either wrong or dangerous lol
Bet I got some badass smoke off that shit, and felt like a boss harvest time. ;)
