I'm no fan of any of the abrahamic religions, but IMO islam is in a league of its own when it comes to nuttiness. We don't hear much about christian or jewish suicide bombers, do we? A wingnut islamic theocracy with nuclear capabilities scares me a LOT more than israel ever will. Comparing the potential threat of nuclear israel to that of nuclear iran is a big stretch IMO. This poll is silly.
Didn't the "savior" of christianity... oh what's his name again.... oh yeah
Jesus, didn't he commit suicide? No wait, his father, some guy named Art in Heaven sacrificed him right?

Nuclear weapons are scary no matter who has 'em.

Rick thinks it bad to hate jews, but thinks it fine to hate gays.

It's not right to hate either. But try to tell Rick that. If I posted anti-jew stuff like Rick posts anti-gay stuff, I would be banned from this site.

This hypocracy makes me ill. :spew::spew::spew::spew::spew:

And as always. . .May the ray of hope which shines upon us all shine for eternity. :peace:
Do yourself a favor and don't post lies and slander. I have never uttered a single word of hatred against Gays here or elsewhere.

I have very good friends and family members that are gay and I adore them.

I am someone who believes that knowing the truth is better for everyone than political correctness. I do admit to saying things people might not like to hear but that is what good people do. I speak my mind and I call them like I see them. But, nothing I say is meant to be malicious.

Now if I was singling out the one Jewish state for special scrutiny based on zero understanding of the issue and with no dog in the fight, that would be malicious.

If religious nuts want to commit suicide, that's fine. But how many people did jesus blow up when he went out? I don't see any connection between his execution (or suicide, if you want to call it that) and suicide bombers.

You bring up a good point, Jesus seems like he may have been a nice person.
My attempt at humor may have been in bad taste too, sorry if anybody was offended. I believe Jesus existed, but I don't buy the miracle stuff.

I'm sure if he could see all the people that have been killed in his name over the last 2 thousand years he'd be pissed. So even though Jesus didn't hurt anybody, the religion named for him, Christianity has been used as an excuse to harm others, as has Islam.

The connection between the two religions is both have historically had little tolerance for unbelievers.

The brain washing continues today, on both sides when people ought to know better.

I see your point, and I don't like christianity and its intolerance any more than you do... but I still think that overall, much of islam is way more out of touch with reality than christianity. In many ways christianity and judaism have toned down the kookiness and zealotry in modern times... not so much with a lot of islam. It's really scary to think of a crazy islamic theocracy, full of people who are happy to be martyrs (unlike most modern christians/jews), having nuclear weapons. If there were christian theocracies with an abundance of suicide bombers and zealots with mindsets straight out of the middle ages, I'd say the same about them.

Isn't it funny how you have been brainwashed by the zionist media and systems in education that have fed you lies. I never said I wanted Israel wiped out nor has Iran ever stated it. I want the zionists who are thieving manipulative scum to be wiped out. As for anti-semitic, do you even realise the vast range of people that 'Semite' covers? http://mb-soft.com/believe/txo/semites.htm :hump:
Look up the word contradiction;-)
Ahmedinejad most certainly DID say Israel needed to be wiped off the face of the map! The man is MAD, as in WILDLY INSANE.
All in one post you have stated you NEVER said they should be wiped off the face of the map, and yet in the same breath said------I want the zionists who are thieving manipulative scum to be wiped out.
ZIONIST---THE RIGHT FOR ISRAEL TO SIMPLY EXIST....FORGET ABOUT PEACEFULLY, JUST EXISTTTTTT.

You are a Jew hater. You don't know the first thing about the Arab-Israeli conflict except that the Jews are to blame.

People who are not anti-Semites take time to learn the facts and the facts are that the whole issue is the result of Muslim intolerance and billigerance.

If you want the FACTS here they are. But, I'm sure you don't care what the facts are. By the way, are you Arab, Muslim or both?

Thank you. That was my next question.

However, NEVER expect a muslim to expose themselves as who they truly are and what they TRULY represent.
A little al-taqiyya never hurt any one....just ask the good "prophet" Mo.

No no I am a zionist hater. I don't hate any religion or race, to do so would be stupid and ignorant. Real Jewish people know that zionism is wrong and act accordingly

http://www.jewsagainstzionism.com/

And no I am of western european background, nor am I a muslim.

As for your little outburst, don't worry I have no hard feelings as you are simply repeating the rubbish fed to you by the media and your schooling system. :bigjoint:
You are aware of how much money the Saudis feed into the American system of education to teach the younger generation LIES???
......I didn't think so.

Yes I agree, I will call the Ayatollah and ask him to stop teaching people to kill non-Muslims.
And if the Ayatollah even so much as utters DOWN WITH ISRAEL.......KNOW that Ahmadinejad will respond in kind to his orders.

Also know that Islamic doctrine very clearly states that the big "shayton", aka Israel, will be the first to go....second, the "mini shaytan (satan)" AMERICA will be next............HELLO!!!!!!!!----coffee break.

I too am believing Jesus will be "slightly pissed" at those who ever killed in His name.

"But"......an emphatic BUT.....when you say Christianity has been used as an excuse, DO note that it was never RIGHTFULLY used as such via His words.

Mohammad makes it no secret what his wicked goal in mankind is. If your every day typical American would just READ. :cuss::cuss::cuss:

I did not want to even dignify this thread with a response. But I feel obligated to ask for a moderator to step in here and ban anyone who expresses such an extremist view:

I want the zionists who are thieving manipulative scum to be wiped out.

This kind of nonsense should not be tolerated, here or anywhere. I don't care who you are or what side you are on, extremists who want genocide deserve no place in the politics section of a cannabis growing website.

Iran is a rogue state. It is a dangerous destabalizing force in a dangerous destabalized region. Islam is also an evil and dangerous religion. If they truely are right on the verge of having a nuke, then I think the US should send a "Special" message. . .Use some small tactical nukes to eliminate their ability to make nukes.

Look, Islam is a threat to the Western World. They would like nothing more than to kill the infidels and rule the world with their cruel, medieval doctrine. Infact, their religion demands it.

A powerful message needs to be sent to these wing-nuts that would destroy us if they could: We will use any and all means to protect our people and protect our way of life.

or will you be staying at home.

". . . You declare, my friend, that you do not hate the Jews, you are merely 'anti-Zionist.' And I say, let the truth ring forth from the high mountain tops, let it echo through the valleys of God's green earth: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews--this is God's own truth.

"Anti-semitism, the hatred of the Jewish people, has been and remains a blot on the soul of mankind. In this we are in full agreement. So know also this: anti-Zionist is inherently antisemitic, and ever will be so.

"Why is this? You know that Zionism is nothing less than the dream and ideal of the Jewish people returning to live in their own land. The Jewish people, the Scriptures tell us, once enjoyed a flourishing Commonwealth in the Holy Land. From this they were expelled by the Roman tyrant, the same Romans who cruelly murdered Our Lord. Driven from their homeland, their nation in ashes, forced to wander the globe, the Jewish people time and again suffered the lash of whichever tyrant happened to rule over them.

"The Negro people, my friend, know what it is to suffer the torment of tyranny under rulers not of our choosing. Our brothers in Africa have begged, pleaded, requested--DEMANDED the recognition and realization of our inborn right to live in peace under our own sovereignty in our own country.

"How easy it should be, for anyone who holds dear this inalienable right of all mankind, to understand and support the right of the Jewish People to live in their ancient Land of Israel. All men of good will exult in the fulfillment of God's promise, that his People should return in joy to rebuild their plundered land. This is Zionism, nothing more, nothing less.

"And what is anti-Zionist? It is the denial to the Jewish people of a fundamental right that we justly claim for the people of Africa and freely accord all other nations of the Globe. It is discrimination against Jews, my friend, because they are Jews. In short, it is antisemitism.

"The anti-Semite rejoices at any opportunity to vent his malice. The times have made it unpopular, in the West, to proclaim openly a hatred of the Jews. This being the case, the anti-Semite must constantly seek new forms and forums for his poison. How he must revel in the new masquerade! He does not hate the Jews, he is just 'anti-Zionist'!

"My friend, I do not accuse you of deliberate anti-Semitism. I know you feel, as I do, a deep love of truth and justice and a revulsion for racism, prejudice, and discrimination. But I know you have been misled--as others have been--into thinking you can be 'anti-Zionist' and yet remain true to these heartfelt principles that you and I share. Let my words echo in the depths of your soul: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews--make no mistake about it."

Well, being in my early fifties, no I wont be enlisting. But if I was younger I would sure consider it. Although the OP was talking about war, I am talking about a military action. I do not think you can say with any certainty that such an action would necessarily lead to war. But I think there is a good chance that it could.

It would lead to all out war..don't underestimate nationalism.........................BTW a tactical nuke wouldn't do a dam thing to any facilities, there buried to deep in the ground. Are bunker busters can't even reach them.

Yea, this idea that you can 'surgically' destroy iran's nuclear facilities without any consequences is total fantasy. We probably wouldn't be able to get anywhere near knocking them all out and even if we did, iran is very much capable of striking back both conventionally and through terrorist-type attacks.

Also, I'm not sure if there's anything we could do that would give the hard-liners a firmer grip of power and make any sort of political change from within impossible.

Also extremism, and should not be tolerated. Genocide (or wiping out an entire country of people) is never the answer.

EDIT: I realize the irony in my statement, that my stance against extremism is itself extremist. Oh well.
