From what I've seen, Biden has been spot on and very open about saying what Putin will do before he does it.

Biden is warning "other nations" they face severe sanctions if they ignore the sanctions put on Russia. Is China's economy large enough to sustain them?

They projected 6% growth this year.

Then again, I'm assuming Mr Xi will act in his self interest and his interests are aligned with the people. Putin shook that assumption up for me yesterday.

Putting it out there for comment.
Xi is educated, seems to care about his people, and appears to want China to be competitive in world markets...he knows that the west would have to put sanctions on China, steep ones, if he gives aid to putin....
the only reason i could see for him to help putin would be to consume russia afterwards...and honestly, who cares if he does? it might grant some stability to the region, finally

This is part of a statement made today by that cunt Stefanik, the 3rd ranking Republican in Congress.

Here's the key bit of her statement:

"After just one year of a weak, feckless, and unfit President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief, the world is less safe. Rather than peace through strength, we are witnessing Joe Biden's foreign policy of war through weakness. For the past year, our adversaries around the world have been assessing and measuring Joe Biden's leadership on the world stage, and he has abysmally failed on every metric. From kinetic and deadly attacks on our allies and partners, to the catastrophic withdrawal and surrender in Afghanistan, to the cyber attacks impeding American industry and infrastructure, to today's Russian invasion of Ukraine, Joe Biden and his Administration have failed America and the world."

This is what they say the day after what could be the 1st shot fired in another World War?

It's Biden's fault?

62% of Republicans think Putin is a stronger leader than Biden?

FUCK ALL REPUBLICANS/THEY'RE TRAITORS & FUCKING SCUMBAGS!!!!!!

I hate them

Why didn't XI invade Taiwan during Individual 1's 4 years, knowing Bone Spur wouldn't go to war over it?
im guessing because the entire world would shun them and consider them little better than animals for destroying a healthy democratic country to feed their nationalism...

^Well, that's one way to look at it.

The way I see it, he's running a police state with a scary amount of technology in place that can even track a person's movement while shopping, much less travel. Anybody who gets on their watch list can't so much as fart without them knowing.

You might read up on how much he cares about Uyghurs, Tibetans, free press, Hong Kongers.

You might check into what happened to Jack Ma, his wealth, his businesses (Alibaba and Ant) and his freedom.

You might check into Xi's shenanigans to get himself named ruler for life.

You might check into what Chinese government, banks and businesses are doing to the countries in Africa that are part of the Silk Road initiative.

You might check out how expansive and deep Chinese censorship has gone. They don't just stop at the press or the internet, they affect all means of communication in China. People who say the wrong thing anywhere or at any time can even be arrested for and charged with "thought crimes". They sent to re-education centers and held there until their captors decide they have been sufficiently re-educated.

Leaving out Chinese military aggression (wolf warriors) and unfair trade practices that to my mind the US allowed them to take. Just looking at what is going on right now in China, it looks to me that the kleptocrats have taken hold of China and it's going to go the way of Russia except their enforcement is more effective.

I'm a soldier. Regular army. I feel this shit in my soul. Have you spent any amount of life defending your country?
I'm late to the discussion, but what are your thoughts about this Russian invasion? Like I don't understand what Ukraine did that the president of the Russians feel like they need to do this and kill. Im stunned. Thanks for your service!
