i would never take that chance...especially if you find it in your yard. i mean, the best thing that could happen is you eat that one shroom and feel a little goofy...you'd have to eat more than that shroom to really trip
Thanks you guys for the advice. I will not attempt these musshies. There are more in the yard that could be picked if they were the trippy kind but no one can say yes or no.
I find those in my yard every year. They are almost like liberty cap look-alikes. Don't eat them, not the right kind. Always looks for blueish/purplish bruising, it's a good indicater.
how come every one thinks that the mushrooms they find might be magic ones, the chances are its not, and even if it fits the description of one, there are different mushroom species that look almost identical so dont eat it.
Token your identification methods are bunk and dangerous. Those characteristics are missing from MANY shrooms including individuals from a stock of one that might exhibit that particular characteristic.
Kushmaster that looks like a common non-hallucinatory mushroom. I dont know what species it is but i agree you should not eat it.
The best way to ID a mushroom is by its spore print.
ALSO!
When mushrooms containing psilocybin are touched or picked their stem should turn blue due to oxidation, contact with the oils on your skin if i remember correctly. This holds true for ALL psilocybin carrying mushrooms with the exception of one that I can think of.
I agree with you Godkas. The blueing effect is a more reliable way to verify a halucinogenic shroom but you also must remember that there are several other look alike mushrooms that also bruse blue.
