There is a thread strictly on OG's....where both breeders are given credit for mastering the OG strain line...
as for if they are in a partnership...the thread reads to the contrary...
at the same time they have worked with each other so much..any official business merge "might not" change the status quo...

I can PM the thread link...i woulnt post it here in open thread
only because it seems that mixing-forum postings is a no no

Transplanted the seeds from the cups into pots yesterday.

The Black Ice are in 2 gallon pots, while the Reserva Privada are in 3 gallon pots.(just didn't have enough 2 gallons)

They are a little droopy in the pictures but today they are very happy and all facing towards the light.
Im using my flower room right now to veg them(for space reasons) and because im not using the flower room yet anyways...
I understand that my plant tags are upside down, I like a little change here and there

In a couple of days I'm going to be top dressing with earthworm castings.
In the mean time I'm going to be brewing a high fungal tea to get started.

Also in a couple of weeks ill be top dressing with some more organic ferts

I've thought about getting one of those eventually, I read a cool thread all about customizing the PAR of the light with different bulbs to maximize the effectiveness of the spectrum for the plants. Sounded really neat, and the guy that wrote it had some beautiful plants. He used a variety of different specialty bulbs from an aquarium supplier I think.

I did a test yrs ago using MH-HPS and the Mh plants were alot more frosty.
So i do belive in adding a mh with hps during flowering,To achieve the most
from lighting.

Yeah that's a nice thing about these lights is its very easy to get bulbs to create a good useable spectrum.
Another thing is that it puts out just as many lumens if not more then a 4 bulb t5 with 80 watts less of electricity consumption.
Not many places around here sell t5 bulbs and the places(hydro stores) that do sell them usually only carry two spectrums.
Red and white. With t8s the bulbs are sold at hardware stores and they usually carry a good variety of spectrum.
Ive been to cheap/lazy to try to perfect the spectrum on my t8s so I just run 4700k across the boards.

i believe you on that 100%.
on my next run I'm not going to run a seperate metal halide though.
There are these bulbs called ceramic metal halides. They carry a good ratio of blue:red spectrum.

instead of being just red(hps) or just blue(Mh) they are almost the perfect balance.

There is alot of controversy about cmh and from what I have gathered it is not a light that I would use by itself.

i would use it as supplemental lighting... But I guess at that point I could just throw in a MH and probably get the same results.

whats your opinion on cmh beech?

I was under the impression from what I've read that everyone loved the CMH lights. I've never used one, but have flowered under regular MH and had great results. I'd love to add one to my current setup.

a lot of people are in favor of cmh, some as main lights some as supplemental.
brick top does make some damn good points against it though.

Well, here is the update for today

I was going to brew my tea today but decided im not going to just yet.

Probably water them with regular water today and then the next watering give them a tea.

The fungi tea that I was going to brew was going to consist of work castings, a little ffof, molasses and seaweed extract.

I was going to moisten the worm castings before hand and put them in a warm place to create fungi and to give the fungi a head start.

Instead to put a little more ease into it, im going to be brewing up a tea consisting of worm castings, mushroom compost, molasses, and seaweed extract.

This way I don't have to worry about creating fungi with the worm castings.

These are the clones I gave my girlfriend that I am also experimenting with a bit.
The leaves on the bottoms of all the plants are f'ed. I left them in the clone dome too long cause I didn't know what I wanted to do with em.





I also added one warm bulb to the t5 the plants are under for sharts and giggles

So I have been pretty lazy today... Had really nothing to do all day and decided to be a bum.

Scooped up some Girl Scout Cookies today

I know this aint the place but heres my little review on it:



Overall rating: 4.5/5 stars

Price: $55

Type: Hybrid

Smell: sweet, smooth, and green

Taste: Was a little harsh on the throat during the first few hits, but once the bowl got burning it mellowed about a bit.
After that just a mellow sweet yet fuely taste. This specific batch reminded me Jack Herer or J-13.

Effects: Once passed the few instances of harshness the high that succumbed over me was calming and enjoying.
Everything became more vivid and clear. My girlfriend described it as becoming a little "HD". I'd have to agree.

Density: Pretty dense, with minimal airy spots.

Appearance: It was a looker for a short period of time but not something I would call "the best". Even though, I still catch myself checking it out from time to time.

It is a GREAT high with a good smell. Only reason it didn't get a 5/5 star in my book was that i felt it could have been a little more trichome covered and a little smoother on the throat.
(All this is most likely the growing hand behind this, so I am not bashing the strain directly).

Overall, id buy again.
