5/23 day 37

so i have discovered something heart breaking.... a couple of my girls are pregnant... i dont know how they thought they could just hide this from me... but they did...

no really its no quite as bad as it sounds... ahh..better... anyways.. as of right now i only have found a few seeds here and there popping out... i dont have any males.... and have searched high and low and found no pollen sacs... but the explanation i think makes sense...

ive heard that in nature marijuana plants can do this... if there is a large group of females that are close to each other that are getting close to our harvest time/their death, one or more of them might produce a few seeds to ensure survival... i think because they are growing very similar to how they would outdoors, ie them fighting for root space being multi-plant-potted, and not knowing it is indoors they are just producing some seeds to ensure their survival... little do they know its a waste of time cause now im pissed and smoking every one of those prego buds first...

anyways as far as i can tell its only 2 branches on 1 girl that have more than 1 seed... 3 out of the 5 pots have 1 seed per pot.. and the other 2 pots dont have any... again i have found NO pollen sacs NO banana sacs NO any sacs... and bud production hasnt slowed so im not stressin to much... but it does break a fathers heart to see his sweet young girl get knocked up like that... and whats more disturbing is she knocked herself up...

other than that i spent a while and tied a bunch of branches up... started supporting buds that are ready to bring down plants... all that... put a couple pics of the seeds and the prego girl... and some pics of the beginning of the jungle of string that will consume my garden here soon... if you notice in the pic of the plant that has those seeds, the roots are actually growing on top of another root mass.... and i did notice while i was looking more each plant has at least 1 seed in each pot that has seeds... i think because of the lack of space their roots have has a lot to do with them freaking out like this.. i still expect a fat harvest.. just gotta pop out a few seeds is all... anyone want any??

too bad about the seeds.....I have also heard the same thing about MJ wanting to reproduce so bad it seeds itself. How often do you flush? I don't feel like my buds grew at all last week, i'm not sure...maybe its just I see them so much? I am going to take some runoff and test it when i water tonight. later slippery

sry to hear that..least youll have some good seed stock..and yes i will try ...i real excited bout running some of my buddies goo on the next cycle..afgoo..true indica..he's got ample clones..ive never seen leaves that thick be4..fast rooter he says..incredible buds...well least ur not stressen on these lil seeds swelln up..weed will still be dank..looks good..wut'd u use for branch support..string? bamboo stakes...dental floss?

well as far as like major flushing i do it 2 times.. or try to.. if i get the chance i like to do it once going into flowering... and for sure at the end of flowering... i usually do it over a 7-10 day period.. and i flush every other day with 2x the amount of water as the size of my pot... so ill flush my 5 gallon pots with 10 gallons of water every other day for 8 days using a total of 40 gallons... everyone has their own thing though.. thats just mine.. just gotta make sure your soil drains well..

if you are talking about how often i feed without nutes i feed like this...

and so on... if i am using molasses, which i just started using since i ran out of the sugar daddy, i use it everytime i water... it just keeps them boosted a little incase they used the nutes faster than i thought.. or used more than i thought..

sometimes i notice big changes in bud growth and sometimes i dont notice as much... i think your right, the biggest thing is we see them everyday.. the key to noticing change is picking reference points on your plant to see the growth compared to that.. like ill look for spots where there is stem showing and see if the buds are covering them up next time i look... plus i think its like anything.. they have their little spurts where growth is rapid.. and spurts where its slowed down a little... could just be on the end of the latter of the two... plus we all still have the 6th week explosion coming so get ready to see a lotta girth added on!

thanks for the condolences on the seeds.. you too slip.. forgot to mention that in the last post... yea im not stressing to much.. it sucks.. but its just a few seeds... in the scheme of things it could be worse.. plus it dont take shit to pop them out.. just a pain in the ass looking for them...

the goo sounds nice... i love when i get fan leaves that are larger than my hand... its just cool shit to see.. you should get more than a few of those with the MH setup you are going to go with... itll be sick to watch...

i am actually using butcher twine to tie them up... i just happened to have some from the last place i worked (im a chef, not a butcher) so i used it... its like tough yarn that doesnt mold, is heat and burn resistant... and was cheap.... like free cheap... looks sorta janktified i think... i would rather use dental floss or something clear.... just to make things look cleaner... oh well.. it gets the job done..

no its cool..im mean i know wut u mean for astectics..but who cares wut the string line looks like.. i should show 1 of my plants with an old pair of shoe laces tying down the colas... like i took the laces out of my old boots...and threw the boots in the back of my truck where theve been posted up for the last month..

Thanks for the info on flushing...Im gonna check my runoff and if my ph is good im gonna wait and use your schedule....I think it might be a bit low...Hopefuly a bit of garden lime mixed in will bring it up if so....

no prob slip... glad to help where i can... let us know where you ph is at when you find out.. try to come up with come ideas if its to high/low or something... the lime will work to bring it up if its low tho...

u wanna hear something crazy..that caregiver i know with the huge in and out ops....so his plants look so good..i mean there vegged under 2k mh..but so i ask them with how good their looking wut nutes do u use in veg..he looked at me all crazy..answer wuz NONE..nothing zelch..said he did it for years..and then finaly just stopped, and got better results..jsut off of foxfarm soil..and preventitive mite treatments , like eistien oil..but NO nutes in veg or flower till 3rd week in...my jaw dropped..these are the healthies plants ive ever seen..not sayn hes right...but wut hes doing is workn for him

I haven't used fox farm...It must be good shit...I with they would get it at murdocks or the depot. In the next couple crops I plan on moving to a "super soil" Then water all the way through treating any specific defiencies that arise.

i can believe it... honestly.. i am using fox farm soil myself.. and as bad as this is.. and i know i should be shot for this.. but its the 3rd harvest i have done using the same soil... mostly because the place i get the soil from is so far away.. and no one near where i live carries anything good... but fox farm can definatly carry through veg without a problem.. and if you use new soil eveytime you grow you wouldnt have to use veg nutes.. i always have myself.. but it just seems with the length ive use the soil that it could make it at least 1 full harvest with little to no nutes at all...

amazing though to hear that.. it stuns my brain... and im stoned.. which makes it a double stun...

hmmm.. i dont even feel comfortable brieng a camera over there..but hes been cool bout leetn me see it..and thats enough for me..and ive got constant access 2 clones..he's runnin a few exotic strains outside...and there still in veg..he said bring a pair of scissors..so i might pull some clones to do myself..and wen i pic these clones up by the end of next month theyll be fattty since there already ready for containers out of the ezcloner..so when i get some ...ill post pics for sure..

i can understand that... i wouldnt feel good about it either to tell you the truth... but i will be ready to check out the clones as soon as you have them up!

so i went back in to look at the girls some more and to water the girls that were thirsty.. was looking at the seeded plant.. happened to glance down... and thats when i saw it.. a fucking banana sac... i was speechless.. i could have sworn i looked top and bottom and found nothing... so i frantically began searching again... carefully moving branches... be cautious not to disrupt the trichs my girls have done well at producing... and thats when i saw it.. buried deep in the jungle... a small banana sac... and then a cluster.. as if 2 werent enough i found yet a third... without haste i removed the little yellow sacs of naughty flower cum, sat them in a pile, and burnt them... but the damage has been done... after all the love and care i have given her i wound up with one more hermie... she didnt show her traits anywhere but this one spot... buried deep inside her... and she managed to get a couple of her sisters pregnant as well... i was wrong about the nature thing... it was a dirty dirty hermie bitch that has caused the problem.. although it is very limited and not as bad as it could be if i hadnt found the problem... but i'm still upset... at least i know the cause...

i found that when i used very very little to no nutes during veg and started during floweri had major problems with the nute burn. i got it allunder control but she is deffenatly behind schedual. i may have got carryed away with the nutes at first. anyway waz up samy woz the grow bro. get those seed down yet.

I could see that happening for sure..if there not acclimated to nutes and u start bumpn them to say 900ppm im sure there gonna react a lil...another thing my guy likes to do is kick the fuck out his pots and disrupt them as much as possible in flower..try to stress them into bigger blossoms..he says he only waters every 4days a likes to see a little wilting..like i said his methods might be a little unorthodox but its workn for him well.

yes i agree.i will let the likbes just hang to the point of breaking during flower. i found that the stress of thying to hold its self up creates one massave tumoros looking bud. its pretty narly looking. i can see were kicking the pot tolosen up the roots to take in more of the nutreiants. im deff. going to give that a shot.

i could see the issue with nute burn too... it only makes sense if the plants arent used to being fed then all of a sudden are getting dosed with nutes it could easily burn them.. but as with most weed problems, its prolly a strain related issue...

so the plan is to start germinating all my new seeds in about a week... right now i have 24 - 2 gallon pots for my ebb and flow system... been working on figuring what my next harvest will be...

so i am planning on not being able to afford the expantion of the grow room.. this way i do not get disappointed if it doesnt happen..

as of now i plan on running another harvest through the setup as it is now.. with a few minor changes... mainly the hydro system and im going to turn the lights so they run length wise with the room instead of width wise...

i plan on germinating 4 blueberry (thanks TM), some unknown strains (thanks MG.. did you say maybe shishkleberry or monkey balls?), and i plan on getting some clones from a buddy so i should have a decent few strains to work with.... i will clone the blueberry and unknown strains for future grows and prolly not clone anymore of the cloned strains i got... they are just to common around here and im sorta burnt out on the same stuff... i am also going to order some seeds after next harvest.. but thats getting way ahead of myself...

but i will begin germinating new seeds next week prolly... ive thought about force flowering after a week or so, to sex them, and then revert them... i can wait to take cutting from them and force flower the cuttings.. but i just figured since i had some time to kill i could get this done before vegging actually took place.. think its a bad idea?? should i just wait and force flower cutting like i know i should?? since im going with a hydro i just dont want to waste any avaiable pots on males... especially if i cant expand the setup.. i would rather have all 24 pots with females from the get go than waste nutes on males and have to worry about it later... any ideas/suggestions guys??
