The Sensi Seed bank crossed Thai into it " for sweetness...." Said Ben Dronkers. I bought two packs in desperation because I thought my sk#1 was lost. Then the cops took those and a pack of Sensi Skunk and my outdoors Early Skunk.. To this day I have never been able to grow their genetics. Bummer. I want Maple leaf badly before it too disappears.

I have been looking for the Ortega indica. It is a good candidate for an old school skunk cross. Do you know of any old indica lines that are sweet? I had a sweet maple smelling one with fat indica leafs in the 80's. It may have been a hybrid but looked pure. I would like to make a cross searching for another commercial bag appeal thing, but this time I would like it to have a high that I like. That was what my Firecracker cross was. I am learning the pros and cons of modern genetics. I know what to do now I hope with the inbred variation polyhybrid stuff the industry is dumping on us.

Ortega seeds can be had from Mr Nice; they also have a USA website now. I acquired a bunch of their genetics from their USA website because I was nervous ordering overseas.

I found the Mr Nice Ortega, to be mids. It yielded huge, but buzz was lacking. Went through 2 packs of seeds. 8-9 females. This was 8 years ago. Aldo some slight hermi towards finish.
Critical Mass, was better.
Shit was better than either one, and was better for breeding. One buddy that passed 2 years ago. Liked it.

Id 100% go for the FDM vs Mr Nice..

The Mr nice one is a nl x he shouldn't have called it Ortega it just confuses people the one sensi sell is 3/4 the pure ortega line with a touch of skunk in there the fdm one is the pure line

He calls white widow, black widow too I think. I don't know how you guys keep them all straight.
I know but it takes 50 seeds or alot of luck according to shanti to hit the widow pheno in his seeds now and I used to read all the old catalogues alot they stuck for the most part with me so I remember alot of them the name change was when he broke off from GHS seeds and formed mr nice who still sell there's as white widow and shanti's as black widow Ime the old GHS one was the best idk what theres is like now though I liked alot of there white crosses too

See I've heard the mr nice version is THE ONE that won the cup for ghs; whereas the ghs is a new selection.

He changed some names to avoid the 1000s of seed banks that came put with "white widow" that wasn't really widow at all

But it is true you probably need more than a pack to find because they didn't make a bunch of selections to alter it; they kept the line as pure as they could

Greenhouse still uses the cut that won the cup still apparently as well but it's s1s only no regs the one that won the cup was all over holland so even if they lost it it shouldn't been hard to get back so they might actually have it

Where do you even get Joey's weed? From what I've seen it was available at hemp depot where you gotta send cash; I don't take those types of risks anymore for seeds though I only order in the usa
That's the only place for what it's worth it's legit just really old school way of doing things
