Skunk bud

I believe cat crotch has some SSH or its a Sativa hybrid- if I remember, ran it , it stank but damn mellow smoke. Definitely a chem aroma .

There used to be SoCal Catpiss at some local dispensaries …
 
Actually that's sort of a lie, I once got seeds from a seed bank and got some freebies. One was labeled 'citrus skunk'. It had every citrus flav with a dank skunk undertone. Had one seed, grew it, it's gone

I have this really odd feeling that old-school Skunk could be a result of a high-nitrogen diet seed to chop?? Reason I think this is, back in the day, a lot of growers used "whatever" to grow & didn't necessarily follow the rigid N P K ratios we all seem to stick to now.

Of course it's a specific cultivar and even phenotype but really, what if high thiols are a result of higher N throughout the plant's life? And the fact that everyone seems to taper off nitrogen in flower nowadays is why we ended up with "candy & gas" terps mostly?

You shoukd try it! Worst case scenario, you get weed. But something to think about, there are plenty of people feeding a balanced nute throughout the entire life of the plant and they aren't getting skunk that I'm aware of

That's my point. .. NOT balanced. Like N-heavy borderline exhibiting toxicity-heavy, throughout the grow

Just a theory. A lot of ppl used Miracle Gro & other very high slow releasing N in their feeds/soils back then, moreso than now IMO
