SLH Questions

Alright so I have just started a new grow check my sig for the 400w/600w, and the plant that I have been drawn to since the begining is my Super Lemon Haze. Its from GreenHouse, not a bag.... And it is feminized, I know its not a for sure female! Well living in Cali, the Medical State, I have only really grown Indica for medicinal purposes. I will be growing 4 plants, one being SLH and all other are Indica Strains. I know SLH is going to out grow all the other plants height wise unless I got one of GreenHouses screwy Pheno's. So I have a few questions about the strain if anybody has any experience growing this strain, or were a part of growing it. I don't need what people read on it, but more first hand experience!

  1. What is the best node to top at?
  2. Should I top or fimm to control height? And how much times do you reccomend to make her a bush? (I don't like LST much)
  3. Is growing a Satvia differ from growing Indica? Other than height and leaves. Like big things? I dont believe there is, but again I dont know.
  4. How sensitive is it to nuterients? I will be using Foxfarm Trio with Supplimental Trio.
  5. How is the yeild on the plant? I will be veggin under 400w MH and flowering under 600w HPS Cooltube so I can keep the light as close as 6in away with no signs of heat stress, but I keep it about a little over a foot away to prevent bleaching. And medium is FFOF soil with 20% perlite mix.
If you can help, It would be great! Thanks for reading!

All plants are different. Every plant will respond to any type of method differently so you will just have to see how your plant responds to the techniques you choose. There is no best node to top at it's up to you but most people top early to get a bush effect. As to the yeild every plant is different but they should have an average on the strain description. If the seed is feminized it is a female.

i am starting some SLH, but they are tiny - i just thought i would add that i am off topping - after listening to the NORML podcast with dr. Earleywine i learned that topping may give you multiple colas, but you do kill the main one - so, some people don't do it and there is an alternative - dr. Mitch says to tie the main cola stem to the ground so that it is lower than the side branches - this will convince the plant to make more colas without killing the main one.. just my $0.02...

I have my slh trained to about three and a half feet. I topped her and took clones and then tied some twine to the top banches and pulled them down to give about a three foot wide and by three foot canopy. She is getting a little taller still but with bud growth in 4th week of flower. She was vegged about two months for a full bush in a five gal dwc. She loves it under a 600 watt hps with co2 by herself and gh nutes and kool bloom. I am noticing some weird probs in flower with a few leaves and powder mildew hit me but I have taken care of that with things.
