Slow flowering

I’m 4-5 weeks into flowering. I can’t help to feel as if the plant is slow to flower.
Strain: Gps Cackleberry
Nutrients: AN ph perfect system (micro, grow, flower) eow & Big bud
Lights: 750 watts of viparaspectra

It’s gotten cold out and I’m thinking maybe the closet is cold during the dark cycle and slowing the growth. I’ll get a temp monitor soon and check.

If you switched to 12/12 4-5 weeks ago then something is wrong. I've had plants preflower in veg as far along as those. Are you sure they've been getting an uninterrupted night cycle consistently? Also with the light, is that wattage what they claim it replaces or actual watts it uses? There is a big difference.

It’s probably your light, they’re misleading about the wattage.

Light is vivaraspectra 450 dimmable and 300
I sometimes check on them is n the morning and they’re sometimes in the dark cycle and I’ll flip on the light for a minute. Is that an issue?

Yah that’s not good. Keep the lights off you run the risk of stalling them out or causing them to hermie. You need one of those green headlamps if you absolutely need to get in there. Or just wait til the lights are on

Never ever disturb their sleep cycle with light or like @Lordhooha says, you’ll be picking bananas. I still stand with that wattage not being true .

Just checking when i get the time really. That’s probably the issue. Sometimes my schedule is crazy i just flip on and do whatever i need to. That’s probably it. I’m gonna change that.

As far as the space i can’t remember but i did do the math on the wattage to make sure i had enough. It’s been sometime i can’t remember. I use a meter on the light sometimes to make sure the plants aren’t getting to much as the grow up to the light.

Set the timer for 12/12 and leave them alone when the light is off. If you need to water around your schedule get a green light if you're going to be spending any time fiddling with them during lights out.

As long as your aware that the vipar450 is a 200w light and the 300 is like 135w, good for about 2x3ft in flower between them.

Yeah stop fucking with the dark cycle too!!

they flower from the buildup of a hormone the plant produces only during uninterrupted darkness. if youve opened the tent or closet or whatever during that time, it fucked it up.
thats only 400 watts AT MOST with both the lights, thats more than enough to flower, the vipars are just glorified vegging lights, my friend flowered with 2 vipar 1200’s, the buds sucked, the size and girth of the colas were good, but they had literally no smell, tasted lile hay (maybe from his drying method i dont know) and i couldnt see any trichomes with the naked eye.
get a single 2700 cob 75watt or two to flower with, do not open the closet until you know the lights ARE ON

Yeah you're kinda shooting yourself in the foot by turning your lights on, dont do that!

This was at day 28 of my flower and they got slowed a bit the first 2 weeks because I had to super crop them because they were getting too tall already.
