ok well today i went outside to get my soil to plant my new germed seeds in, when i open my bag theres 2 slugs inside, i took them out and took the soil out bag by hand and put into my pot to make sure no slugs was in my new pot.
i was wondering if you think they lay eggs in my soil? and if so what i use to kill it in my soil. i was thinking 1/2 water, 1/2 rubbing alchoal.

Thanks for help.:bigjoint:

Copper wire will do the trick wind some around the bottom of the stalk and they will not cross it. I have used it for a few years on my outdoor and no problems. Stops snails too! You can buy a mesh like I use from these guys, it expands as the stalk gets bigger.

Sup dude. Don't use alcohol, its not as effective as. . . . .

AMMONIA! If you use a spray of 50/50 ammonia and water you'll bitchslap those slugs back to the stone age.

If you're really worried about your plants, buy something called diatomaceous earth or mix sand and salt 50/50 and spread make a ring around the base of your plant. If they cross either of these, they will die. The DE will work its way into their insides and shred them, the sanded salt will cling to their underside and burn their foot so bad they won't be able to move and bleed out quickly.

DE is more effective, salted sand is way cheaper. You can even go 60% salt 40% sand if you like but 50/50 has worked well for me in the past
