Smell proof containers?

If you immerse your jars/tubs in warm water the expanding air pressure will leak out if its not air tight you'll see bubbles.

A mason jar with a functional gasket/lid is completely airtight and smell-proof, no external tape required.

Every Kilner jar I buy must be defective then. Cause it does leave a smell in the cupboard where they are stored.

I now use grove bags. Much cheaper, easier to store, produce a better product and completely smell proof so far!

More likely the lids

If mason jars weren't 100% airtight, the entire canning process wouldn't be possible.

I have a few drawers full of jars and there's no smell whatsoever
