Smoking Males??

so i think you had a male all along. please dont try to blame a neighbor, its not nice especially since you wouldnt want the them blaming you for the same thing.

O of course you can smoke the male.... But all you are going to get is a really bad headache and a regret of ever doing it. ;)


i dont know if you can do it with a male but i bet you can make butter, oil or hash out of all the clippings but don't qoute me on that.

its the male pollen that will give you a headache chick, not the leaves. You can use male leaves the same way you would a female's leaves. If your not sure, don't say it. Not trying to be rude, but homeboy has gone without smoke for 4 months, and now has a plethora of leaves that he might of wasted off of bad info.

sorry man I know you think I'm way off base but I did say you could smoke it, but IMO it wouldn't be worth it.
I also said that you could probably do other things with it such as make butter, oil or hashish
but i wasnt sure about any of that
you might have to smoke or use 4X the amount or more but eh gotta do what you gotta do.

smoking males? -sigh- i dont even like to leafy of bud but just leafs?! male leafs? eff that just gonna be harsh and yea you will feel something but most of it is from placebo and ultra low tolerance but yah better off buying regs on the street get you higher then those leaves ever would or trading a bunch of htat shtuff for it lol

Tis okay hun, more my fault, I know better than to get on this forum when I'm pissed. yes, you can make the butter and all that, and yea, it takes more, but hey, if its all you got.....

Out of curiosity, have you ever tried it? Is this coming from experience or just educated assumptions? To be fair, The leaves will get you high as shit, if you dry it right, it won't be harsh (mine isn't, and when the girls are all gone the male leaves get smoked...) I will say your right about being better of with reg, if thats an option, go for it. It will get you high a hell of alot quicker...ie, it takes 2 heeping handful of leaves (before being dry) to get me as high as a blunt of schwag.
 
from experience ( my first 3 grows was using bag seed had alot of dudes to mess with) i mean yah youll get a buzz but im almost possitive its a placebo effect lol or a very verrry weak effect cause i can still smoke a couple bowls of brick and be more set then i ever would those leaves
 
Dude, if u got none then hell yea smoke it..my first grow was outdoor, one plant, super skunk, male..i smoked that shit, and i even cured it 2 weeks..it gave me a proper buzz dude, like some sort of a mega leaf :o

I am, actually, thank you :) I was having horrible head splitting tooth pain, but the natural remedy started to work, and today it doesn't hurt...YAY!!! Shit was horrible, lasted 4 days...

SO IN CONCLUSION: If you have ANY other option, ie even brickweed, take it, but if thats all you got? SMOKE THAT SHIT!! ;)
 
I have read with great interest many of the opinions here and on other sites all morning. Having just yanked 4 males from my grow-box and currently without weed to tide me over while the ladies mature, I decided I had nothing to loose by trying to smoke some of it. Call it a desperate experiment if you will. Snipped the top leaves from the 4 males, pulled the pollen-sacks off all of them (discard), then put the leaves inside a flour-sieve and blasted them with a hair-drier for 10 minutes or so; then proceeded to rub the dried bits through the sieve.

Later I was sitting in my garden while smoking the joint rolled from the result of this, when suddenly, the coolest high overcame me; the colors were brighter, I could hear the birds around me and suddenly felt rather energetic and creative! Tell you the truth, it was somewhat like my first joint some 25 years ago. I can say that without a shadow of a doubt, I will be smoking the rest of those males and any other that cross my path in the future. Or at least until those ladies are ready!

Not anecdotal evidence, but my own personal experience. Damn, I couldn't even form a coherent sentence when the wife tried to talk to me just now! If the males can do this, those ladies are going to be dynamite!
 
Just a little update to the above: I have smoked some more of the leaves from those males, but find that the effect has seriously diminished as I move further down the height. This leads me to believe that some potency lies in the top leaves and not in any of the fan leaves. Will investigate some more and report.
 
Smoking males is done to test potency for breeding purposes ,there are some potent males about that can produce trichomes which will get U stoned beleive U me.It is a test done by some breeders which is a simple way of keeping a stud for making good offspring in seeds.
