So I am bummed out as to how my grow came out.

This is my first time getting this far in growing, i've tried once before, now I had so many issues but it was okay during veg but once flowering started about week 3 I had major issues. I think it was due to having a bad pH meter during veg and not fixing until week 1 of flower. I overfed and never flashed until later in flowering stage, I honestly prefer to do crash courses, to figure out what I shouldn't do and why so i can get really good at growing. Anyways I am open to everyone's comments and if you can spot my errors to later on fix them, also happy 4/20

Not enough airflow in that box, buds got stunted by excess nitrogen from feeding too much fertilizer and the plants look heat stressed/burned from heat or the light.

You need to spend a few hours reading through grow journals on here and see how people are setting up their grows and treating their plants. Take it to the bare bones basics and understand weed plants don't get fatter the more you feed them they get fat when you give them a balanced diet. It's a very fine balance most of the time..

It has been very hot sometimes around 75-80 max like 90, and the grow light was about 12 inches during the first weeks of flower then I moved it to 22 that was the best I could do.

22 inches is fine, what kinda light are you using? Can you give some info on your setup? Fans? Where is the airflow? I don't mean to bash you either I'm just being brutally honest.

I have no fans in my tent at all.
Oh I have 4 inch fans still in the boxes they came in but things are going well enough.

I have only worked in organic soil so pH and stuff doesn't come into being an issue for me except when I am making guinea pig manure tea and adding things like oyster shell flour. I check the pH.

In soil basically the living microorganism will balance out the pH or so I believe. That is if nothing too crazy has been done.

From my experiences I know that I can over engineer the grow-op. Now I have to remind myself to go visit the plants. Oh sure I go and service them with water and such but mostly I just leave them to themselves.

I wish you luck! I sort of figured you are in the mood to chat so I stopped to chat. We all have issues. I tried two trays of cuttings for clones and they died! Then my only Mother for one line got dry and did not recover so there went that clone-mother. Shit happens.

I bet your growth is explosive.

Well, after ten years of not being able to grow I lack the skills to be competitive with all the wonderful pictures I see on RIU.
I believe that the only true critic is myself. There will always be someone else that is better at (whatever) so to truly compete I look at what I do and compete to improve my grow. It's a fools game to hold myself up to some idolized standard.

I just a did seed grow. So the plants spent most of their energy on making seeds and not growing frosty nugs of picture quality.
Not much to show for frosty nugs on any grow site but even that. Even just the sift from the shake after separating seeds from plant material gave me the Kief I used to make CannaButter.
I am very happy with my cannabutter. So I made something good from what some would see as a loser situation "picture quality nug wise."
I do have some clones trying to make nugs but the Summer heat is coming and they too may become cannabutter with an early harvest if it all goes to too hot out there.
I'll Just roll with it.

Folks say that cool to cold ambient air in, good light, good escape for hot old air out is a good thing.
Too much fan and transpiration is an issue. So if you are troubleshooting one way is to simplify the setup and see how that goes.

I just bought my first three large modern LEDs and tents. 2 x 4 with MarsHydro sp3000s
The light is very bright and I have them at the top of the tent and turned way down. Still really bright.

I'm now learning that setup. Not a master at all. However I take solace that the clones are still looking alive after two trays dying before this one.

Like I said.. Just chatting. I don't know your style of gardening. I'm a organic soil guy.

Your plants need air flow though even if its indirect. Yeah it will work without but you're wasting your time and money growing without it. Do you though. Thanks for sharing.

High transpiration rates are fine if everything is dialed in properly but I do understand a high VPD can certainly be detrimental to the plants and cause extreme stress.

Oh and this tent seems really cheap now that I have seen the price of others that people have posted here.
Nova Microdermabrasion 48"x24"x60" Mylar Hydroponic Grow Tent with Observation Window and Floor Tray, High Reflective Growing Tent Room for Indoor Plant Fruit Flower Veg

It simply says "Zeny" on the tent.

Price $67.99 I don't know much about tents but other than one having something of a difficult zipper when compaired to the other zippers I have no complaints. There is nothing wrong with that zipper it's just a little two-hands-zie when I zip it up. Just a little awkward but i did get some silicone spray and I have to remember to spray that zipper. maybe that is all it needs to be smooth and one-handed zip.

If I was to suggest I would suggest getting that tent. More room, better air flow and the ability to raise that light to the top.

There is wisdom in every post. That is for sure.

I'm excited to do LED and tent so I'll know more later. I am attempting a breeding project. Link is in the signature.
No fans in there yet. That may change. I like the open space and convection. That Zeny seems engineered real nice for that.
Large openings at the bottom sides. Three side openings for 4 inch ducting and a large 6 inch opening it the ceiling.

Anyway it seems worthy. I thought to suggest an upgrade.
