Hey thanks a lot for the great post man, and welcome to riu hope you stay awhile. That is my situation too, can't get to sleep.. Without chronic stay up for sometimes 3 nights. I'm not really down with the pills. I was told not to take them 2 nights in a row so they obviously can't be good for you right....that is pretty cool, so basically at 1 g a day, they allow you to keep over a 6 month stock on hand (if I calculated that correctly), that is great! Most of the US states have a limit on usable at 2.5 oz, the tops I think in some states is 7 or 9oz which more correlates to your allowance.
I recently went through the same thing, not really a problem sleeping, problem falling to sleep. My primary doc, refers me to phyciatrist, went through at least 3 meds with NO results. I dont know of the medicine you speak, what finally worked for me was Seroquel (in the US). Of course I researched this online before I went in and basically this is one you can take 25mg up to like 300mg, depending on your needs, QUITE a big difference. Doc tells me basically, yes that I am correct, to basically dosage myself as needed because he knows I am at my wits END over not being able to get to sleep. He prescribes the 25mg, and the ONLY night since I got the prescript I couldnt get to sleep (after choosing to stay up until 3am in the first place, then still couldnt sleep) was the one night I forgot to take the ONE 25 mg pill. Now it does not knock me out, and I didnt want a pill like that so for me it was a god send. I take it about a 1 1/2 hrs before bed, and about that time later, I think it gives me that little extra kick, I dont know, but when I lay my head down now, when I am READY for sleep, I get it. I know how it is man, & I hope you get good sleep from now on. And while, meds are funny things, & all work differently on different people, if u r concerned about the meds ur taking, maybe if they have Seroquel there, you can try that. BTW: smoking always works to get me to sleep. But I dont like to have to do that, every night, just for that, and no I did not tell my dr. (any of them) I smoke. Just like there, most dr.'s arent down for hearing that. And I am medically licensed in my state, but I went to a doctor that specilizes in that licensing with dr. reports from my other physicians documenting my conditions, so I could keep my usage from my primary doctors UNKNOWN. It will be a blessed day, when no one has to hide that information or worry about the treatment you received!
I wouldve loved to not tell this random doc I smoke but in canada u have to go through a reg doctor. If we were in the states I'd just bribe a motherfucker at the mmj clinic lol. But yea the only reason I even went to this doc was to either a) get him to sign the papers or b) not sign the papers but note in my file I have anxiety and insomnia so I can gostraight to the gov..
So really it was a win. But I was just astonished how easy it is for some naieve doctor to fuck a young persons life up or try to, with prescription meds.
Again thanks for the time, glad you can sleep bro.
