Meaning that if the plant is tall then the lower part will not get enough light to really yield well.CFL's don't penetrate well
Looks like your girl is making buds! That's always the best part of the grow![]()

You have a bit of an extreme case since your plant is so stretched out. With your new light that shouldn't happen any more.
On your next grow you might consider using LST or some kind of mini scrog to keep your canopy flat. It will greatly increase your yield
I hear ya the thing with this plant was that it started in a window i never intended to go this far but upon doing the research i realised what was required if i wanted it to work out.
I must say with all the help i have recieved i am very happy with her progress
I have already got the seeds on the way for my next grow im going for speedy gonzales auto
Tomorrow i am picking up another cfl but blue spectrum ready for the autos so i have both red and blue spectrum
LST or some kind of mini scrog to keep your canopy flat ( Not necessary with next grow )
My auto grow went really well (except for the Oil plant from Autofem) I am very impressed with autos. They are a very good choice to grow while your grow cab is still under construction.
The blue lamp should be a great addition. I run 4x23W 6500K cfls with one 13W 2700 cfl's for veg and that's doing very nicely! I dont know the best balance of spectra for veg and flower yet. I am new to cfls.
The scrog thing. Yes it's wise to start simple ramp up slowly. Too many people try to build a really advanced setup before they've done any growing. And there are other factors to consider apart from yield. Like having a life outside your grow room![]()
