My soil PH is about 7.5 i'm watering with bottled water. what can i add to bring PH down some. or is 7.5 not to high. will post pics of plant leaves later.
Thats a color version of the chart I prefer, very nice. May I add EWC(earthworm castings)are amazing at keeping a mediums pH in balance. In the initial mix and brewed teas alike...MrGhettoGrower is my kind of guy!!! Asking the RIGHT questions and all. How ARE you testing your soil? Run-off is no indicator of soil pH, I hope you are aware of that. And for cannabis in soil, that is still within the realm of good nutrient availability.
Between 6.5 and 7.5, about all that happens is a slight reduction in availability with some of the micro-nutrients, and a slight drop in P availability.
pH, what it is and how it affects things is a very difficult concept to get your mind around. You are not going to "just change" the pH of your soil to whatever you want it. It is buffered to a given value and will resist changing by returning to whatever value it is buffered at. In most soils, Lime or Dolomite is the buffering agent. In order to change the pH value of the soil buffered with lime, you'll pretty much have to wash out all the lime.
soil can become more acidic with time and when you add nutes it puts the ph down a little anyway.........ive had problems when ive ph down in soil..........i thought it was better for the plants
