This is where Spain excels, whilst it has some of the strictest trafficking laws in Europe, the Spanish government encourages people to grow their own and marijuana possession and use is decriminalized. You will get in no shit at all for growing 5 6 footers for personal and private consumption!

NO way?? 5 plants no matter how big or how many lights??? i find that hard to belive.
If thats the case im moving to spain, but tell me even if u are legallay allowed to grow 5 plants how can u justify have 5 6foot plants with 2 hps light on each plant so a total of 10 lights....producing 10 + pounds as personal consumption and not trafficking?

Heres a little reading material. I know it's hard to believe but when I said you could grow 5 plants with no problems there is actually no limit providing it is for personal use which essentially means if they have no evidence of selling then in spain it is for personal consumption.

wow man im in awe , this is like heaven in paradise..... as spain is sucha bautiful coutrny i truely see it as paradise....
What if i was to rent a place i wanted to grow in, could i be open and up front with the landlord about my intentions for say a basement room or the back yard?
And what if i had like 3 or 4 places like this could i still be considered as personal consumption?

Not sure about being upfront, obviously there is still some stigma attached to growing with some people. As for having four places and growing if they are all yours I'm sure you can do it without a bother. I would suggest a rooftop terrace, a big one. I only grew 3 plants this year, but next year I´m gonna have 10+ and there will still be room leftover.

Yes a terrace would be great in the city along with a bedroom lit up.... and countryside by the mediteran..
I think i would try to get intouch with some poeple in metnoined in the article or ask people at smoke cafes seems like people are very freindsly and willing to help...
as for growing outdoor i know that it gets colder in winter, but its quite warm during summer, how many crops can u yeild in summer like how long is the growwing period....
Ohh yea i forgot to ask, are landlords allowed to come by and and inspect the property, and what if they find the grow there could they kick me out and call the cops..... like if its legal to grow up to 5 plants wouldnt i be legallly in the right and be the victim of the landlords neo con attitude

dude...family just visited from espana. I asked them about this, and didn't quite get the same answer. It was a lot more "they don't care if they smell it, but if they see it they'll arrest you." Their age was under 18, so maybe it's different for minors. This DOES make me want to spend a summer visiting the homeland though 
Wanted to add, the cold spats in the winter are good in a sense; it's what allows olives to flower (they won't until a freeze) or something like that; and I LOVE olives =)

Depends where you are for example Barcelona, where I am, is very liberal with regards to it. Also if the police see non-residents with MJ they know that they haven't grown it themselves but bought it instead which is still illegal. However to put it into perspective from my terrace alone I can see 4 other growers and I got my seeds from my father in law who grows fucking monsters on his terrace and i have visited two of his friends places who also grow. My neighbors have a clear view of my activity and are still very nice with no antagonism or concern. It's a pretty common sight when you live here for a while. Also if your family visited the tourist areas the police will be watching the Moroccan sellers and those that buy from them. I should say though that if an over zealous copper finds you with it the worse that can happen is confiscation as it is still decriminalized here.

Im in vancouver canada, but i spain has a special place in my heart, i relly love barca , mallorca and sansebation and would love to explore more of spain...
Hmmm april till october , so u can technicy have multiple crops harvesting at mulitplle times...
What is the price for a kilo or pund of good weed in spain.... could i grow 5 plants legallly and live a comfortable life in spain?

Not sure if this thread is still going but fuck it, lets get it started. Im going to try and grow a Critical mass out side. It'll be my first outside grow. I was thinking that i might start the plants inside in the next couple of weeks on 12-12 from seed and then come April stick them outside. Where i am from what the climate thingy says i'll be getting 11-13 hrs of light so it should ok or will i revert back to veg? Any Spainish growers have a clue if it'll be ok like this???? I was planning on haing them in 15L air-pots as they are the biggest pots i have growing in coco. Will they dry too fast outside?? i don't want to have to water more than once a day
