spider mites need help 1st time grow

ok so i got this first you guys told me not to use it because its in a flower stage mday 025.jpgso i got this neem oil now please tell me c 001.jpgwill this knock out those mites i need help they are on my plants bad im a first time grower so i really need help so i can stop doing this :wall: eveytime i go out and see those lil bastards please help me

ok man. ive never had spider mites but ive had white flys. find a local nursery via google or somthing. and find these yellow sticky traps, yellow attracts many buggs and they stick to em. also lady bugs really help. theyre carniverous bugs and theyll eat bugs that eat your plants.
and for the spider mites, try watering less. thats all i know ive never had them. there are TONS of previous forums with your same problem try reading some of them too.

How far into flowering? If your close to the end and you just got the mites you will probably be harvesting before you see any results. I seen on a Jorge Cervantes DVD that spider mites will leave your buds when you hang them to dry. Put that yellow bug tape on each end of your drying strings and they will get trapped there.
If you are in early flowering, use multiple chemicals and rotate them daily. They build up resistance pretty quick and changing up what your using against them helps prevent that.
If growing inside, after your harvest CLEAN EVERY INCH OF THE ROOM. Wash down with bleach water, remove any and all dirt, dust, and trash. Then bug bomb the piss out of the room.
Nothing should enter your room without being cleaned first, including tools, clones, and yourself.
They are easy to get and a PITA to get rid of.

Not exactly... I got them this current grow prior to flower. I had to move all the plants out of the room to a different one and bleached and fogged the hell out of the room. Then for a few days I sprayed neem all over the plants and then washed the complete plant in the bath tub (hydro growing obviously) before putting back into the room. Then for a week I kept using neem, tomato spray, and another type of plant spray. It has been three weeks and so far so good. I still spray them down rotating the chemicals from time to time for preventative measures. You can win unless you have them real bad...then your right, the best to do is start over.

things to keep in mind about the mite:

they like warm, dry, calm conditions over wet, cool, windy conditions. tough to accomplish this outdoors.

you can never eradicate the fucker completely, although dirty harry's method will come as close to 100% as humanly possible. you've gotta fight a war of prevention. good luck

Yeah make sure you don't water less, that will only give them a good breeding enviroment. Water more if anything, spidermites hate moisture

Hey, new MJ grower here, but an experienced gardener. I've had spider mites and bought a package of lady bugs, which ate up all the mites within a couple days. I know lady bugs like moisture, so keeps things wet. If it's really dry they'll just fly away. Plus no harsh chemicals needed. I've just started growing MJ, so I'm not 100% sure if its applicable. But I know this technique has worked for my 50+ other plants with mites, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. Just a thought, and hope that provides some insight. The yellow fly paper works really well too-- I use it in my greenhouse regularly.

you can use the neem untill two wks before you cut. thats my opinion. make sure they get washed off. spray with neem wash next day and do it again. ive never had serious prob ive always caught them young but it always worked.

I don't see any evidence of spider mites on your plants but then again my eyes could be better as I am older than dirt and the pics could be tad better.

just blast them with neem every 4-5 days bout three times ,dont wash it off until the last application , whats the point of useing it if wash it off a day later , providing they wont b harvested in the next 25-30 days and clean ure room ull b fine . neem and peroxide r all i use indoor ZERO problems , add serinade and it covers outdoor as well .

Get a cheap microscope from Radio Shack or even a jewelers loom and look carefully, if you see movement or anythying like this...twospotted_mite.jpg then get hopping on controlling them ASAP. Be sure to rotate your control methods as they are notorious for quickly developing a resistance to any one pesticide for prolonged use. I hate self promotion but I am a HLT Cat. 3 licensed in my state and I can assure you no ONE method alone is the be-all-end-all way to get rid of them. It takes a well planned and excecute attack to stay on top of them...they love cannabis and the cozy environment we provide. Check the underside of the leaves first. This their preferred habitiat as it provides shade,will still being warm and dry. A great place to raise a family... or 6, or 12 etc etc. Rapid reproduction cycles so you get the picture.

its a jewelers loupe lol. my grand dad was a jeweler for a short time in the 90's. if i inherited one, its in my attic.

when you mist your plants u will see little webs, i had to take my whole grow room down due to the spidermites, put my plants outside got rid of them that way, used soap neem, but it is true they dont bother the buds prob too much resin for them to get thru, i had 2 white widows in flower, got most of the one that was ready, my 2nd was only about into flower 6 wks, its growing back outside, decided to grow outside, my grow room gets too hot in summer then the spider mites go crazy, it is true be clean, chg clothes before you go in your room, especially if you go outside in your yard, ill reset up my room late summer or early fall, in mean time ive sprayed, bombed, bleached the room will do it again in mth, they are hard to get rid of,good luck

now when you say wash it off can you tell me what you mean by saying wash it off i am a first timer but i would like to thank everyone for their input im going to try the neem oil but i am a lil scared it will take away from the taste

If you are nervous I would try the ladybug Idea...mist the girls and but some bug at night and see if the munch away......Neems oil will work too, dont expect quick results but if consistant every week they will die. I use to think spitermites were bad...then I got bud worms in aug, sept last year......had me longing for the mites bongsmilie
