Sprout wearing shell, and skin?

Sprouting Nirvana Northern Lights and Top 44 under a CFL in Fox Farm Ocean Forest. One of the NL sprouts is above ground but still wearing his shell, so I popped it off gently, But it looks like the two green leaves are in a skin similar to the inside of the shell, anyone familiar with this?

Ahh, I call them helmet heads, it happens a great deal of the time. Let it go it will eventually fall off. One a few occasions I found that the shell was persistant and as a result my first leaves were deformed looking. If that happens I find a gentle tug cures the problem.
