So my plants dried out and i just managed to save some and now the bar of the tent broke and now i've put the lights on thier side, is this ok for about 2 days so i have a chance to get chains to keep them up? they're quite week and i didnt think it'd cause that much of a problem

For just 2 days? I would think so sure. You didn't mention what the lights are, if they are HID just be sure not to let the plants/environment get too hot. Safety first and the usual stuff.

yo dude im not sure what your DIY skills are like but you could bash together a little frame out of pine batons for quite cheap which would be really solid if you get the right thickness. from experience at work chain has a higher breaking strain but to be double sure you could use rope which would show signs of starting to break

sorry i can't help you with the lights on their side problem. im a pro carpenter but n00b grower!
