ok PIC is not that great,but heres the deal..u can see the stem in pic but the 2 little leave that usually sprout with stem are not on there..is there something wrong with this seed??

#3 has some yellowing on its leaves,but alot of people say it doesnt seem to be any big deal cuz its only on 1 leaf..but other than that,its all good!!

ok,some time to get back to writing and some new pics
#1 (ppp or nl x shiva)-looking good but i had a prob this morn. because i wasnt thinking when i change the res. water because i put in warmer than usual water and freaked out and immediately put a tray of ice cubes in the res to try and get temps cooler in res. (bad idea).i went shopping today and i come back after being happy got a good price on my classic prada sneakers,just to find some of the leaves had a beige/brown type defiencey on them (pic 2)..im assuming from when i put them cubes in..maybe someone can help me with this as to tell me what went wrong.

MOVING ALONG: ive decided to give these SH grow micro nutes a try,but couldnt find a strainer small enough to catch the rocks as the nutes are in a powder form so ive decided to use a coffee filter to soak in reservoir (pic 3). tell me what you guys think if this is a good/bad idea or just wont be effective enough.
SEED# 4-had sprouted with over-watered leaves they were like brown,so i let it do w/e it was going to do and it didnt grow anymore (think RW collapsed like Roseman said) so i pulled and planted new seed (JH) in RW cube for that one.
SEED# 5-had sprouted (PPP) i changed to RW cube because i think it was over saturated once again.shes doing okay,but of course im expecting some stretching because her sisters are almost a month old and can get light low enough to little sprouter.
SEED# 6-was crazy,it literally started to grow UPSIDE DOWN!,didnt know what to do so i gently removed it and placed it RIGHTSIDE UP and it died.so new seed in #6 now. PFFFFFF!!...ALL THIS HEARTACHE I HOPE SURE MAKES ME BETTER AT THIS,IN FACT I KNOW IT WILL

P.S. I also got my clone box setup (last 2 pics)..can anyone tell me a timer i can get that can be set to every 3 mins on/off a day??
was going with mother plant but i will just keep taking cuttings instead and transplant them to bubblers

hi paperfetti decided to check out your journal nice job so far ...as far as browning goes i have had problems before and it is hard for me to give advice without knowing alot of info i would say your plants look very healthy for being started on was it like the first of month of oct

i seen two clones are those in most updated pics or are most updated pics from seedlings

so are you gonna clone under in that box with ....what is it a 400 or 600 watt hps .. and wher are your seedlings ...also what happened to those clones in first pic ./....also what is up with that plant from outside is it a female ? ..if you dont know send some close up pics of the nodes and see if there are preflowers yet ...you could use that to pop off a grow fast while you waiting for seedlings to reach age of blooming time ....i have made many mistakes with timing and stuff first couple years i grew and have recently been able to really anticipate and maximize production from a couple of methods ....for instance if your plant outdoors is a female you could have buds off her clones in as little as 2 1/2 months and looks like your seedlings need about 3 weeks or so before they can go into bud unless you want to mother some of them and if so i would let em get big enough to preflower that way you dont have to stress them by pulling clones off a plant that has just shown its sex in flower ....like end of week one of flower ....cause they would have to revert back to vegetative state ....and i have personally seen loss of vigor from pulling a clone from a plant that has just shown their sex from bieng set to 12/12

if you wait longer on those quality seeds you will be rewarded with preflowers that telll if it is male or female and you will have more clones to work with i can show you a pretty fool proof way cloning .. also what is under those lids bubble bars or spray emitters (dwc or sprayers ) you have a good setup and has lots of potential

your strongest asset is that plant outside ready to clone now ..if it is female

also do you have some bucket units that you will use for mothers like a five gallon with net pot lid here is a pic of one of my bucket systems i made it for like 40 bucks i think but there is a much cheaper way ....it is high price cause it has a drip system and not just air bubbled water in bottom

i can help you out and get you croppin quick bro also you said you have ppp feminised that is a nice strain for the spacing you have on those growing units ....

also here is a pic of ppp in bloom in a bucket it is one on right bottom

and it is in week 3 of bloom and the mother pic is about how big it was when it was thrown in ...i estimate this plant will be about 2 ounces if it continues its growing rate ...which will be my best to date

i pulled plant from outside in the house,wasnt sure what to do call myself trying to save it and took some cutting today (might have over did it..she was showing signs of pre flower before it started to get really cold here and she might have been outside a lil too long becuz i was so focused on making premium strain do what it do..heres my problem..i have all this shit from being excited about finding noob setup,so i brought all kinds of shit..i have 3 bucketeer dwc (not setup anymore,not sure if i wanna do mothers just wanna take cuttings and keep all 12 pods giving me a constant grow..right now i started with 5 and 2 got crazy so i pulled them and replanted (i explained story earlier in post)3 new seeds..so now i have 3 new seeds in the remaining pods (6 total now)..out of the 3 new seedlings,2 sprouted and is looking good...seed #6 doesnt have seed shell on it..just the root sitting in RW cube..looks like a baby maget or something (freaky)..i hope it starts to root soon..now back to outside plant real quick..i took cuttings and tried to put them in mistic cloner under 600 hps in a homebox s...that box is too small for that light (dumb noob) it was on fire in there lol..now im gonna eventually switch lights and put 600 hps in the homebox xl (pic with bubbleponic setup) once my seedlings are good enough to take hps.was wondering can i switch to 12/12 with seedlings still in there? or do i have to wait till everybody (all 6 plants) are ready for 12/12?..i was thinking of switching 12/12 exactly when my plants are a month old..is that ok?...to be honest the economy got me fucked up and taking up my old high school bizz again for the bread,so whats the best way to keep these 12 pods and 600 hps bringing me constant flow on a small scale?..once this pops off,i will go crazy with the seeds (attitude your next!) and maybe start my mothers in 3rd grow box (which i have)..maybe host 2 of the best strains i get in future in 3rd homebox s with cfl's..im so confused on how to approach this with what i have..so the plan is as of right now..switch to 12/12 in about a week for my three 1 month old plants (if switching light dont damage seedlings)..take cuttings for mistic cloner and use the multi spec cfl that im vegging with for clones (is this ok??)..and in 3 weeks from cuttings i will fill in 2nd bubbler and when bubbler #1 is about close to harvest i will take cuttings from bubbler #2 and transplant cuttings from mistic cloner around the time im harvesting bubbler #1..it sounded like a SOG setup in my head i could be wrong..please help me figure this out..i need constant bud.

man those buckets are major assets i have seen extreme results and literally the fastest growth i have ever seen

i would use pure water with one of your seedlings and place in a bucket system hmm ill show you a pic of what i would do with one of those quality seeds especially if you know its female or if you got those clones to root .....if it is seedling only water from the top until it gets like second set of true leaves remember just water and then start with very very weak nute soln ...i use general hydropponic 3 part and once you start that nute appliication then i would flood up to just below like a quarter inch below the bottom of cube that is until it establishes like the big seedlings you have now and i say hand water at first cause it is easy to overwater rockwool cubes when a seedling is in em

yea your best bet is to use those cfl lights to do cloning until roots stick profusely out of bottom of rockwool 600 hps is alot of overkill they really just need small amount of light when they trying to root

seedling plants will do great under that hps keep the light high above them at first tho 600 watt hps even light cooled you can get burn if too close so i would put them maybe 2 feet away at first and yea seedlings will go ape shit in there just make sure temp in there does not get above 80 F

and yea it is best to wait till plants are about 1 foot tall to start your 12/12 if there are mixed sizes looks like you could move smaller seedlings to other bay under your cfl so they can veg longer cause i have seen dissapointing results from budding seedlings too early i mean like four inches tall and only on their 4 or 5 set of true leaves lol ....but seriously you dont want em much taller than a foot when you start 12/12 cause they will continue to grow upwards for like 2 or 3 weeks before they start to set flowers ......

yea everythin you said is cool and good cept i would put your plants under that hps for the week more of veg you say before you gonna switch em and then of course dont trigger the seedlings that are under a foot ...like 10 iches is ok but no smaller for seedlings ..

yea constant bud is a nice thing which means you should start on your mother buckets right away ....if you want to keep em for a certain strain just start one bucket for now ..if you can post pics of all your equipment i can ananlyze your situation and give you a practical approach to getting a perpetual crop goin sooner than later hehe ...remember i said i struggled with bad timing and stuff for like 2 years then i started to make backup plans and time stuff and anyways i got a perpetual sog goin now and i constantly placing plants from one stage to another ... if you send pics of setup tho i can help you out better ....

if you still have a feminised seed of ppp that is what should be started in bucket ...man you will have mother to clone off of quick ...i have seen a clone that is 4 inches tall with roots of course turn into a monster mother plant 2 feet high and with a hundred clones available in less than 1 1/2 months ...so i can step by step you on bucket systems man they are powerful for growin bro ...

hmm camera is not workin right now but basically you just fill your bucket with pure water and wait for a seedling that has roots comin out bottom of cube and place in clay pebbles (hydroton or whatever brand you use)and place so it just comes to bottom of cube like 1/4 inch below so you dont soak cube real bad .and seriously if you put a single cfl over the top of it you will see it take off quick and within prlly less than a week you will\ be at your second set of true leaves and then you can fertilize use same mixture that your other plants are gettin ..obviously it is a good mix maybe just a little lighter at first but i will check your journal very often and i can help you out along the way ....also if you want you can see some pics of mine if you want to know how mine is going ....and of course this knowledge i am giving you is from real live learned experience not book reading ...so it is definetely trustworthy ...if you unsure always double check with al b fuct tho he is very smart about this stuff

hmm here is a pic of a 2 month old mother plant that has already givin over a hundred clones in those two months she prolly has another 50 on her right now and in two weeks she will totally recover from cloning and give 50 more lol ....this is a good tip if you a beginner make sure you take alot of extra clones and often too

i really dont want a mother plant is it possible to get perpetiual crop w/o mother plants?..the reason i dont wanna have a mother is because after i make some money from this crop here im going ape shit with the seeds mann...i mean ape shit lol...so i wanna keep bud around until i can smoke and decide which ones i will keep for mothers (does that make sense?)...well anyway i have 3 dwc buckets,a mistic cloner,3 homeboxes (1 isnt even open) 2 of them are homebox S and the other is a homebox XL thats the 1 the plants are in now,i have a 600 watt cool tube,all kinds of cfl lights and thats pretty much it..

heck yea if you want to crack seeds that is a great way to have a perpetual crop and give you time to choose a nice mother you will have to have a little more space in veg although because of males but if you plan on doin any breeding to get some of your own seeds you could make use of males otherwise yea that actually would work just nice sog is very possible with seeds if you looking for a nice perpetual just do what you are already doin by poppin seeds every week or so ...great idea

here is a northern lights crossed with a strain my friend called champagne

BTW,i started running lights 18 hrs instead of 24,but now the temps drop to like 74f..what can i do to maintain a certain temp with lights off cuz i fear as the winter gets colder they will drop some more

hmm if your house stays like normal temps no lower than 65 degrees it will of course carry over to the grow box and stuff but if it seperate or somethin you can use a space heater and set temp to kick on at like 65 degrees you be ok ..of course make sure it does not point directly at plants and such ....but generally i get as cold as 58 degrees sometimes and as hot as 86 neither are somethin to be proud about but they never get that kind of temp treatment for more than a day or two in a row ...i have had horrific damage done by temps around 90 degrees for like a week at a time and my whole crop suffered real bad

here is another thought tho you are doin a type of deep water culture so your plants roots are always in water right ...if you buy a fish tank heater and set it to like 68 or 70 degrees you should have hardly any troubles ...although never let room temp go below 60 degrees if so i would get a space heater .....

i dont think ill get that low,but as long as 74 is still ok..i thought temps were a strict thing like it cant fall under 75 for a whole night or something,but thats good to know..another thing is i have some leaves that are at base of stem that are wiltered..is it ok to cut these?..or just let them be?
