Stealth Cabinet Build PICS

I like computer fans myself, quite and last pretty good too. I'd like to see some pics.

OK here's some pics. The 80 CFM bathroom fan sits on the carbon tray an vents out the back. It is a 2.5 sonne fan, a little noisey so I will line the channel the fan sits in with foam. The cross on the back of the Cabinet represents were the light will go, either a 150 or 250 watt with cool tube or hood. The cool tube would have its own intake, exhaust and fans. As far as the intake for the cabinet, I might make a ring of 3" ABS tha wraps around the bottom of the plant. The 3" ABS would have smaller holes drilled into it. This would serve as a light trap as well as plumb the freash air to the bottom of the plants. I think I would add a computer fan or two to aid this passive intake.

I'm curious about the door hinges. Do they seal sufficiently even with it being recessed?

I am not to sure what you mean. If you mean the first Cabinet it sealed up fine. Weather striping was installed around the frame and a strip in between the two doors. The hindges are the adjustable european type. you can adjust them up and down, in / out and side to side. This way you can ajust it to sit on the weather stripping nice, the negative presure in the cabinet should help to hold it shut.
On this model I would like to have a decent lock built in from the start. I am planing on using the same hindges.

Ya that is what I was asking, you have to use weather stripping.

BTW I like the light baffle at the bottom of the cabinet, thats a good design.

Looks like a good start. If you do like me I'm always changing things to try to improve. Have you considered maybe a duel 150w instead. Should spread the light better over the canopy. I'm not sure what you mean with the 3" rings for an intake? Maybe replace the bath fan with 2 computer fans. It would be much quieter and a better longer lasting fan. Looking good though and I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it being built. And with the 120mm computer fans you can bolt 2 toilet flanges to them and make an inline fan cheap and very easy. Some flanges don't even need any drilling, the holes line up and you just need to bolt them together.

Dude sick cabinet. I wish i could make one that big...
