stealth grow cab almost done, just some lighting questions

please help me out if you can, i built a 2'x3' 4'h grow box that I can't wait to get going. lighting is the last remaining problem. is this too small of an area for a 400w hps? would a 250w hps or t5ho light do any better? and help would be greatly appreciated

Soil or hydro?
Do u have the money for an aircooled reflector?
Do u have the money for a high CFM outtake fan?
If so then u might be able to squeeze a 400 in there and do a screen. I have a 400 watter with cooltube and 6 inch duct fan along with a 265cfm active air blower and carbon filter in my 2'dx4'wx6.5'h tent and I have trouble keeping my temps at a constant 78 though they never go over 81. Of course as long as you have the airflow then you can always make it work.

im gonna be doing soil as organic as i can until i see a need for hydroponics. i have a pretty weak inline fan with a carbon filter. so im probably just gonna do 8 bulb two foot t5ho fixture since my cab is so short and add light on the sides as necessary. i was gonna do the 250w but i think my box is too short.

The T5 fixture you're considering is 16000 lumens. This is adequate for about 2 square feet as the minumum recommended lumens per square foot is 7000. This calc is also a HID lighting calc so you are actually providing far less light as your distance from the bulb increases using flouro's.

Yes the 250 is the best option. If i were you I would look into the ScrOG method. You would definately be surprised what you can get. If you want some cheap pc fans that are high cfm check these out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185060 they worked good when i put 2 inline with my 400 watter.

the light you are talking about isnt big enough try a 250w hps or even a 150w
