Strainly can be a great site, the issue is figuring out who's full of shit, and just trying to make money, and who has the real deal cuts. Also you need to watch out, theres been alot of horror stories about people being sent PM, super mites and all kinds of stuff.
That being said not everyone there is a fuck, theres alot of reputable sellers on there who are only looking to conduct good business and share the love. but it is hard to tell sometimes. I've personally meet a few really good ppl from that site, most dont use it anymore, and everyone trades between known growers. Rather then dealing with the chance of having to take a flame thrower to your entire grow room. My advice would be talk on here and meet some ppl, build some kinda trust (as much as you can being on an anonymous pot growing site lol) and then trade amongst friends.
On another note, I get a yearly Christmas card from a special someone on this site, and I always have extra beans, their givin to me, so I'd also be giving some away if your interested. It's free lol. This year we were sent shoreline og, and also gmo X chem 91

A buddy of mine paid 250 for a cut of black banana cookies #9 from solfire gardens and it's no where near a rip off, I absolutely love this cut. Just bc you cant take a cut and make thousands off it like everyone else doesn't mean it's a rip off. This harvest alone I must have pulled in around 5k in sales just from the flower alone.

Any banana is a rip-off. Bag appeal with bland weak bud. Plant also has no resistance to anything. It’d be the only section of the entire 25 light room that ever had problems. It’d be right next to kens cut and it would have some fucked Up shit and gdp would be kickin it. Also took twice as long to clone as everything else. If you think $150 is worth it for a cut....especially not an elite cut, you don’t have access to legit cuts where you are. So......I got jungle cake, face off, wedding cake, gg4, purple punch.....most of my cuts I’ve paid for some, that are going for rediculous prices on strainly, etc, for less than $15. shoreline has a bunch of stuff on there that’s cool, but he’s charging $45 or more for unrooted cuts. Again, if you think that is worth it.....not good access to clones. I’ve never paid more than $20 for a cut and that was in 2008, in the past few years I’ve never paid more than $15 for a rooted cut, including all I listed and a bunch of other stuff I’ve picked up. Usually $5-12 for cuts, 15-30 for teens/mini moms, $50-100 for 3’ plants.....not every time, but I do buy a lot of cuts at a time(50-100) but a lot of times I won’t. I can send you lists from clone establishments in la and sf if you want to see what I’m talking about, but I would never pay $150 for a cut. Can get pretty much anything selfed, cubed, or backcrossed in seed form for that much that you’ll find better keepers out of. True ogs are not like that unfortunately. I’m running over 50 s1s of various ogs/tk/etc and 2 of them resemble their respective mothers.

No one will ever justify $250 for something you can get in seed form imo. Too many good breeders with good beans I can pop 50-200 of and find significantly better phenos.
my library is attached for reference of what you can get for less than a tenth of what you paid for that banana cross btw...anything you can get in seed I hunted myself so I didn’t pay for anything that you can still get in seed form

Any cut can be legit. Just because someone like Jungle Boys.......has a cut it makes it legit.
Its just hilarious that you(we) put so much legitimacy on people because of their name or reputation.
Probably would pass up some unknown cut which could be much better that some elite cuts!!
So who cares if you have access to those so called cuts! It's all just a selected cookie, kush, gdp, ........nothing new just a hybrid.

Lol, I’m running over 50 og s1s and 2 resemble mom.... so I guess if you have access to a ton of beans of these cuts(which you can’t get a lot of same generation(only s1s)so your point there is nil), you can find a better cut than the parent(s). I don’t know how many people can do that. I know csi runs like 250 seeds to find his keepers....do you run 250 of the same strains seeds at a time? What cuts do you know of from seed that are better than the clones that are the ones the breeders picked or are just elite cuts you can’t get seeds for? I’m not arguing that you’re wrong about the ability to find better cuts in seeds than mom, but how often do you think it happens when jungle boys run hundred of seeds to find their keeper? What are the chances? 1 in 250+. Imo it takes 50-100 beans to find a keeper pheno of anything. It could happen in a pack, but there’s almost always a better one if you run 5x-25x that amount.

I am glad CSI can run 250 seeds to select from.
But I don't care about that for many reasons.
Sure I have cuts that make my friends elites look not so elite.
Just because someone can crack 250 seeds to select from doesn't mean they would select the sane keeper as I would. Why would I not be able to select better phenos??
Also I believe in my vibe(that of the Creator), to select what I get out of a pack of seeds. So I get insane phenos from a single pack, sometimes only from a few that have cracked.
So be that what it is.

Nope, my current lineup(at least most of it) is a few posts back, tell me which of my elites is hard to root. No cut is worth spending $250 on. Banana og was the shittiest plant to clone ive grown on top of the fact that it’s not potent mids with bag appeal. I wouldn’t pay $250 for a pack of beans either it’s dumb imo and a ripofff for these polyhybrid breeders that put out 150 crosses a year that throw herms and are unstable af. Not saying all of them....but most and pretty much all of the hype strain breeders

So if some of early selections are based on vigor or lack of mutations" then you may only be getting the average to above average expressions. Some slow growers explode in flower, so if you don't run them through, then you will never know!?!

See that shows you a so called elite is not usually so elite.
But in the other side of my hypocrisy, I always look for the super exotic elites.
I look for cuts as well as seeds. I prefer cuts of sativas, as to pheno hunt through landraces can lead to many undesirable plants to go through.

That’s true to some extent, but there’s a point where some stuff is lagging 10x what everything else is doing, at that point it doesn’t matter to me, it’s a shit genetic expression. Guaranteed one of those vigorous plants is as dank and has 10x the growth rate. That’s why 250 beans is sort of fortunate. I tend to kill anything with that kind of slow growth or just unhealthy growth from pop. I kill more than most but I also run more than most. So I am still Probably running 5-10x as many plants as what anyone popping a pack and looking for keepers is doing, and they’re are no mutants or slow growers. All the best plants out of 50+ seeds

Not everyone has the space and time to hunt 250 beans! It would take me 5 years to hunt through 250 beans to find a keeper.
Also you can't say no one will ever justify it, bc for one I just did and I can name 100 more ppl off the top my head that would as well. So now your just making shit up.

I couldn’t justify it. Lots of people can justify things to themselves I could not or don’t have to. And i mentioned I understand not having space or access to/for 250 seeds to pick moms. But there are guys that do and that’s where the word “legit” comes into play. I never argued you can’t find keepers in seeds that are better than clone onlies. Just that there is a reason lots want the breeders cuts over something someone else found. Hopefully any breeder has run more than you of their strains or had testers for more than 10 beans grown out.
