at what stage of growth should i start tweeking arround with the lights to produce male flower on my female plant???

Just cut more than - 2/3 of the vegative growth, and keep it high in N through a 12/12 cycle you should get hermie... if not full male....
but Silver thiosulfate is easier trust me and your garunteed..... Just harvest your BUDS first leaveing as much leaf and as much of the target bud as possible, soak the last bud with folia spray and wrap in wax paper for a day or two ( which will create a ethylene bases gaseous atmosphere)
You should get a hand full of Feminized seeds........... in 2-3 weeks- from that one bud.

Where can I find Silver Thiosulfate? Can this be done successfully on AF strains? I'm sure it can but just making sure. Is this similar to treating with gibberlins to create female seeds?

I have found a couple of formula on this....... Its easy to get he two chemicals involved..... check pg 22 on Hormones vs Co2 (in sig), this will give you a complete breakdown of how to make.... its as easy as mixing with a fork, lol........
(its been around for centuries in hemp industry !)But I assume it would work on all strains for its the... hormones we are playing with and redirecting energy and different plant chemicals to the flower.... and all strains have "flowers"(buds)......
& yep GA3 has been experimented with to creat fem seeds i believe...

: Cultivate two separate groups of female plants indoors. The plants should receive at least 50 watts of light per square foot of growing area. One group must not receive more than 7 hours of light daily. This will induce male flowers to manifest on the female plants. The second group of females must receive about 16 hours of light daily to ensure that no male flowers develop on them. The long photoperiod also inhibits the development of flowers so much that the short-day plants will mature 2 or 3 weeks before the long-day group. Therefore, begin cultivating the long-day females at least 2 weeks before planting the short-day plants. As the two groups approach maturity, remove any males which may appear. A few weeks before the male hemp begins to flower, the internodes of the stem begin to elongate very quickly. The dominant male enzyme andrase produces thin plants with a tuft of leaves at the top. The leaves are smaller than those of the females, and have fewer leaflets (usually 5). Tiny buds sometimes appear in the nodes about 2/3 up the stalk. The future sexual expression of hemp may be determined by examining these premature flowers. If the buds remain erect, the plant is female. If the buds droop, the plant is male. When clusters of female buds begin to appear on plants in the long-day group, cover each bud with a transparent plastic bag sealed with a rubber band around the stem below the bud cluster, so as to protect the flowers from accidental pollination. When male buds appear on some of the female plants in the short-day group, cover each bud with a transparent bag sealed with a rubber band around the stem below the bud cluster, so as to protect the female flowers from accidental pollination. When male buds appear on some of the females in the short-day group, carefully cut off every male bud and store them in a glass jar. Any new male buds which appear also must be pruned. Within a few days the anthers of the clipped buds will open and release pollen. Collect this pollen and apply it with a thin brush to the stigmas of the bagged flowers in the long-day group. Because this pollen contains only female chromosomes, the fertilized female flowers on the long-day female group will develop seeds which will produce only female plants.

anyways what your telling me is if i can access silver thiosulfate and mix the correct ratio spray on remaining bud on harvested plant , wrap in wax paper for 3 days and wait a couple weeks for fem seeds??? is that right???
do i need a lab set up to get silver thiosulfate,,

you can produce your own ionized silver solution using distilled water silver wire and electricity. google homemade colloidal silver how to make. or the most herm free method would be to let your plant continue flowering for a few extra weeks past finish date most strains will produce male pollen at some point this can be collected and stored to make fem seeds.

Jus a note, that,, yes it will produce female seeds, but half of them will also carry the hermie traits. If ur growin for smokin, ok, but if ur breeding , hermies will bring down the quality of buds each grow. I do not encourage growin herms, but that is just me. LOL Grow Ur Own

You will not need LAB gear.

Ok Here is my breakdown. I remember reading an article on these forums about what I think you're trying to do. It's a process for producing feminized seeds. You stress it and flower for 2 weeks or something like that longer than usual and during that stress it'l grow male pods. And then you cut them off and save that special pollen and use it to pollenate another female for feminized seeds. I'm pretty sure that was the process, but look through the forums to find it again. I have no idea if you're referring to that process or not, but I'm baked.

do not produce pollen with light stress your asking for more herm qualities use silver or better yet let the plant flower extra long it will produce pollen. i have done this myself most recently with a pre 98 bubba kush it does work and is much less stress inducing than light manipulation peace.
