hello again folks, having humidity issues this time around. its so cold around here, we got the central heating on most times, its drying out the air..

im looking for a frugal solution to raising my humidity in my tent, currently on veg going well but struggling to achieve 40%, im not too concerned after the flip, does anyone have a quick fix for this? i am spraying the walls often but seems futile.. any ideas/help much appreciated...

Honestly there is no reason to be real concerned with that. It is high humidity that you would want to be worried about and when you flip to flower 40% will be well within the desirable range.

Yeah man I agree with Big V.. 50-60% in veg is optimal but 40% will do fine.. My first grow was done @ 20% RH and I yielded 5oz's off 1 lady.. So no 40 is not optimal but it will do very well.. But if your trying to raise the RH then yes a tray of water on a heating pad should do.

I have the same humidity problem, with the furnace on now the air is dry 40-45%. I use a 2 foot piece of old flannel shirt, wet it down wring it out and hang it in your room-it works for a few hours.Raises the humidity from 40% back up to 55-60%. Learned that little trick from reading the forums here.

Hang a damp towel (spread out) into a tub of water below. The air moving over it will raise the humidity. You will be surprised how fast the water gets used up... The bigger the towel the more humidity you will get.
I came here to say this. Get a 10gallon tote or bucket and just hang(from a nail or something above the container) an old shirt/towel into it and place a fan near by. The moving air will evaporate the water fairly quickly.
