A side note about LED, I listened to a recent DudeGrows show on YT and they were saying that the regulations where they live, somewhere in Oregon I assume, only allow LED or CFL for legal personal indoor growing. HID is banned. So should be a good market there for LED companies.

Yeah I think they're moving to ban it everywhere in the us.

Just as well. Though I don't see why CFLs would still be allowed, considering they're basically the same as coated MH. Maybe they're trying to keep power usage down and fewer people use 1000w of CFL than HID. Everybody figures they need a 1000w HID.

they did that because of the fear of the fire danger from hid lamps. lots of fear of homegrown bho, which is actually warranted. Washington state has had a number of butane related house blowups.

kind of dumb cause the reef hobbyist uses hid lights routinely.

People don't use 1000 watt cfls lol.
