so im either going to use my original soil mix which is
30% perlite
5 pounds worm casting
1/2 cup blood meal per cubic foot
1 cup bone meal per cubic foot
1/2 tbs lime per gallon
bcuzz's hydromix
and buying some soil locally and my base soil

or im going to use subcools super soil mix which is

  • 8 large bags of a high-quality organic potting soil with coco fiber and mycorrhizae (i.e., your base soil)
  • 25 to 50 lbs of organic worm castings
  • 5 lbs steamed bone meal
  • 5 lbs Bloom bat guano
  • 5 lbs blood meal
  • 3 lbs rock phosphate
  • ¾ cup Epson salts
  • ½ cup sweet lime (dolomite)
  • ½ cup azomite (trace elements)
  • 2 tbsp powdered humic acid
i cannot for the life of me figure out how many cubic feet this mix is tho. Im probly either grow 6 or 8 plants in 3x3x3 holes. so my questions are
1. How much cubic feet is subcools mix?
2. Which mix would you all recommend i go with? itd probly be easier to get the first mix since i know where to get everything

thanks so much guys

I make half batches and it fills a 45 gal. trash can to the top I would guess a ful batch would make at least 80 gallons..... probably 12 cubic feet or so

damn, thats not even half of a 3x3x3 hole... ill probly stick with my original recipe then, couldnt justify spending over $500 a hole lol

starting to think about this grow, hoping i can handle it! i grew one plant last year in a 5 gallon, started like late june. Plus i wasnt really using the right fert and i harvested too early, so thisl be my first real grow. fingers crossed that ill get my shit together lol

Dam 500$ a hole , must be some quality soil. I just put in some compost ,lime , coco and 20kg of dynamic lifter(chicken shit seaweed and blood bone in pellet form)
