I had two males in my fem lost coast og, 8 females and no hermie. Taste ranged from lemony to real piney-earthy. Good taste and resin production. High was medicore at best. Nothing special or unique. I've only grown the lost coast, most of the flowers were donated. In compare to tga, there is no compare. tga is on a level of dankness, from my exp. with emerald they have a ways to go. With tga your going to get something dank no matter what strain you choose. Emerald has some weird things happening in the lost coast og. Can't say anything about the rest but I would take precautions for sure.

All the Best~

These are the Dr suesses which is my first breed used jack the ripper to pollinate a cheesequake mother. These are day 53 with 25% amber trichomes going into 48 hour of darkness. This is my first real attempt at cannabis photography so enjoy!DSC_0093.jpgDSC_0117.jpgDSC_0114.jpgDSC_0113.jpgDSC_0097.jpgDSC_0083.jpgDSC_0031.jpgDSC_0047.jpgDSC_0046.jpgDSC_0090.jpgDSC_0118.jpg

Very Nice! Appreciate the pics. I've only tried the TGA Plush Berry, but very happy with it and am about to harvest two more PBs.

sweet backdrops, contrasts very well with the red and purple. when you put them in the dark do you drop the temps as well? should give it a try, take some before and after pics if you can. they can get color variation when its just 65 degrees out but lower may cause a higher output of resin, at around 50 degrees or less it may cause slower growth although since its going into defensive mode.

I added ice on the soil tops last time at night. I'd like to get the room down to 55 at night also, but I don't have a method to cool. This year I have clover growing in the soil also, so not sure if I'll ice them down in the process. I don't want to kill them, bit I don't think the icing would hurt the clover.

ice can stress them a bit but you wanna do that in the last couple days, the dark period is also beneficial for this reason. i wouldnt use it before the 48 hours though. try putting ice behind your fans, you can get a cooler as well and leave it open behind one. this should get it down, hopefully to the 60s since the lights will be off. maybe you could get it lower, but buying all that ice or making it can take a while, maybe get ice packs.

I collected the following process from another forum:

Two weeks out, start lowering night-time temps to 45F.
6 days out add a layer of crushed ice to the top of soil at night
Last three days of dark and ice at nite. Don’t worry about air temps so much now.

All I was able to do was the ice at night.

i have a friend who killed his plants by doing this but it was probably much smaller than these, the low temps can cause it to stress and make it droop a little bit. 45 degrees is a little low too, that can cut growth and some nutrients are locked out at those temps if im not mistaken, and thats probably a bitch to pay for your a/c running that low. all im suggesting is cut back on the ice if you can, use room temp water so you dont freak her out too much. it wont kill the plant, but it can make it go dormant if anything, looks like your fine though since these are pretty big.

What do you find this cold treatment does other than color changes? You mentioned resin increase?

it will increase stretching! in the first few weeks but it makes sense that it will increase resin or catoblism towards the end of the plants life!

yes, the defense mechanism of cannabis is resin. its essentially for pests, cold weather that could cause the water weight to freeze, or many other environmental stresses. this cold induces the plant to slow, or as it gets into lower temps it could stop lateral growth, and go into full defensive mode and put out resin, if its cold enough the plant will go dormant and get ready for next season rather than trying to finish now.
