also, i believe the weight of the resin also contributes to a heavier yield had you not done the cold treatment, from experience i have found this to be somewhat evident. i grew a cross of pre 98 bubba and trainwreck from a few years ago, i grew out about 4 clones from a mother, i did 1 plant with the cold treatment and 1 without, both had about the same conditions and training, they were all to have 5 main colas, including the top bud. both looked as if they would yield similarly, the one in cold treatment had denser, more resinous buds. i did this cold period for about 72 hours, and tried to keep temps at about 63-65 degrees.
i have recently heard its good for preserving the THC, it has been proven by a study that the dark period is good since THC can be destroyed by light, another reason why we also cure in the dark.
people argue "But this doesn't happen in nature?", well this is sort of the point, so you can stress it to put out this resin and preserve its THC at the same time, without the sun destroying what THC still exists on the bud. unlike how mother nature would intend for plants to grow, survival is their final goal but in nature, their goal is to carry on their species, even if it means to hermaphrodite to continue the species, but we want sensamillia, seedless crop with the most potent part of the bud or flower preserved, which would be the THC. we do these methods to enhance the plant, you dont see hydroponic systems in nature either but they grow much faster than soil grows.

Well Im trying azasol now only issue I've had is some fungus gnats. I have drenched with azamax as well. I use the yellow traps and try different drenched and that keeps them completely managable. No thrip problems yet. Next batch I make of supersoil I'm thinking of adding beneficial nematodes while it cooks then at least the supersoil would be bug free. So far gnats have been more than annoying to me. I did find larvae in my root riot cubes which was slowing the clones I innocuoated them with the azasol. When I moved this grow to the new place I deployed predator mites and lady bugs after bombing the house as a preventative. Everything is happy . try spraying your pots with some diced garlic and canola oil, about a teaspoon of canola. if they're in veg, its fine to spray it on the leaves, canola works as a good wetting agent. it also makes bugs stick to it and unable to move. i spray it in the bottoms of my pots, and i make holes at the bottom and spray into them with this. havent had problems with many mites, spidermites come here and there but the garlic keeps them away. and marigold flowers as well, they keep away a lot of mites.

I like that natural approach. I add Neem Seed Meal, Diatomaceous Earth and Crab Shell Meal to the original SuperSoil mix. Then add BTI Dunks and Nematodes during the SS cook. I turn the soil every couple of days at first. I don't want the temps to kill the bennies.
Since I have done this I have never seen a pest. I have windows open and still nothing. I highly recommend it

your doin it all wrong man, you gotta start out with some dirt. i get 2 bags of black kow original, add some old soil, some earth worms, egg shells, banana peels, dead leaves branches etc, male plants, and some high N bat guano to top it off. should water it with about 2 gallons of water, add some honey/molasses(unsulphured) to the water to feed beneficial microbes. adding the roots of plants from your yard is good too because they have good microbes living on them. compost them and break it down with a shovel enough so the worms can break it down too. should have some good ass compost in about 2 months. add eggshells and old fruit weekly, wait about 4 weeks to use the soil after adding food. the earthworms should leave you with high nitrogen, and very rich soil. after that, add your perlite or add it to your tea. or you can just add the roots of the weeds to your tea, and add about a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses for every 3 gallons or so. if you got the airstone your good to go, i usually add peat moss as well to lower pH.

by turning you mean flipping over the soil? i usually just mix shit up with a rake or a shovel, just cover it in some dirt and let the worms do their work.
