Sucker punch auto - indoor

Hi all,

Just wanted to document my most current grow.
Only currently on day 6 from planting the germinated seed in some starter soil.

While my seedling is in a starter pot I have started an organic soil mix and it is currently being broken down by the fungus(!) and prepared for planting.

I have just moved back into a legal state and am waiting to buy a couple of new light for my grow area so for now am utilizing an old 2x2x4 grow tent and LED set up.

I opted for steer manure as the base of this soil, added sphagnum peat moss, perlite, diatomaceous earth and bio live 5-4-2. Mixed all up and left to decompose for awhile, currently covered in a web of fungus.

This grow is being done in a spend nothing fashion, using mostly what I had laying around/ left over (even the seeds were a going away gift from a friend). I was just excited to get something started while I plan out my future grows a touch more meticulously. Just wanted to keep a log on how things move ahead. ✌20220727_155021.jpgScreenshot_20220727-161655_Gallery.jpg

Day 13. I had decided the night before to go ahead and transplant into my larger container because I could see the roots had made it to the bottom of my cup. So far it looks like the new soil hasn't shocked the plant in any way and growth seems to have continued on without any stunting delays..
I've used a clay pot to finish the grow in, wanted to give it a shot to see if maybe it could be used in my favor, my grow area is a bit warmer than I would like it to be so am planning on wetting the outter pot occasionally to help keep roots cool ‍

Had a bit of an issue over the last couple days, weather had been warm and I didn't have enough air circulating across the leaves, so she was looking a little sad and not growing much. I watered yesterday morning and put a box fan in to hopefully aerate the soil a bit and she perked right back up. So it's a little short for 24 days but is what it is.

Found some lobsters today tho 20220814_121545.jpg20220814_121528.jpg20220814_114823.jpg

Day 28..
A bit shorter than I might have expected at this point but no issue, but I had been fighting off a fungus gnat issue.. its been more rainy than usual in our area so humidity has been up a bit, I let the soil dry out really well and then watered in some neem oil and covered the soil with diatomaceous earth. I've only seen a couple of gnats since so seems to be doing the trick.20220818_061620.jpg20220818_061631.jpg

Day 37 .. checking in
Watered today, not much to tell still no signs of any pistils yet ‍oh well.. nice long veg is cool. Fungus gnats seem to have given up, though I started another bucket of soil outside and am letting it decompose some scraps and what not so I may have created a decoy who knows.. 20220827_154359.jpg20220827_154348.jpg

Pic from day 49..

On day 45 calyxs came in but still no pistils quite yet.. was seeing a bit of leaf twist on the new growth but I'm chalking it up to running my fan to close to the plant, seems to flatten out as the leaves get bigger, moved the fan back a bit also. Also realized my light timer was set to "outlet on" rather than timer on so I had been running 24/0 on the light, now running 18/6. See how the adjustment pans out for the auto..

Defoliated a bit more and lollipopped some of the lowers.

Watering along every 3 days.

Thats a bummer. :( I was under the impression that auto seeds were feminized. Is that bad info? Or is it a possibility that you got the wrong seeds?

It's definitely a possibility they were wrong, I got them from a friend before I moved they were just in a zip loc so who really knows.. figured I'd give em a shot. I've picked up a bunch more seeds in the mean time so ready for the next one. I may be picking up a few clones this weekend from a friend needing to get rid of them so we'll swap em out and keep going

You can get reg autos, they are just a rarity these days. A lot of people already have personal bias against autos, add reg to that and they don't sell too well.
